Fun experiences in NC!

It's always so nice when you get treated in a special way when you are on a trip.

I try to be kind in the way I live my life, but I also appreciate kindnesses shown to me.

It makes me very thankful.

So here are a few kindnesses along the way!

I had a few nice 'antique' items I was ready to get rid of so I drove over to The Garage to ask the owner if she would want them. (a couple of big bowls, old cookbooks and a small child's chair) She was very happy. And I told her I didn't want to sell them, I wanted to donate them.

She looked around the store and said for me to pick out a Garage T shirt!

I liked the blue color, don't you? What a nice surprise!

Maybe next time we'll eat next door!

We drove down the hill to the Library so I took a few photos there too.

I can't go to NC without visiting my favorite library.

Another day, a neighbor gave me some ripe local peaches that she had bought from a farm stand.

Thanks to everyone that made our trip even more special!

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

Also I like Thursdays HERE.

What a nice antique shop and a kind expression of thanks for your donation by the owner, Diane. Kindness is never wasted! Those peaches look delicious--we have been enjoying them here this year as Colorado's western slope peach crop has been a good one. Have a wonderful week!

The Blue Ridge Mountains are so beautiful, I would have loved to see them. It looks like you are having a wonderful trip. I hope the Jeep is working for you. I sold mine. And got that hybrid Honda CRV.

Oh, and now we both have red cars!

Diane - kindness seems to be sorely lacking in so many places these days, so it is encouraging to read that you had some shown to you! Those peaches look delicious! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday with such an inspirational post!

Love the shirt and what a kind response to your kind gesture. I'm on a peach binge right now, great local peaches from a NY farm. One of the staff gave me a sample last week at the Farmer's Market and now I'm a loyal customer.

That goes well with my previous post. You may remember that my nephew married his Anna - and there were only two weeks to prepare. All friends helped to create a wonderful festival. I said to both of them: You can be proud of yourself, because you have wonderful friends, and friends like that you don't get without reason. My nephew replied: Yes, I also thought it would be worthwhile to be friendly :-) And I'm qute sure you are also attentive and accommodating to others. Your garage T shirt looks cool and it will always remind you of a positive experience. The shop is great - and the library also looks good with its red bricks. The ripe peaches were certainly tasty and juicy.
Wishing you happy days!

Oh, that antique shop is charming. I think I could have stayed in there a long time and just browsed. That was nice that you donated some of your stuff as well. The Cafe next door looks charming. Those peaches look ripe and delicious. There's nothing like them in the Summer. : )

I have just been eating peaches for breakfast but these on your post look extra nice. So good to do a bit of decluttering. I am determined in September when the heat abates I will get down to doing the same. How things accumulate so quickly I don't know! That was a nice gesture from the owner of the store. Enjoy your holidays. Amanda x

I like retro, antique clothes and furniture. I think I am living in the wrong era. So good of you to donate especially now when times can be difficult. Yes, I like the blue T and the red peaches look juicy. I used to frequent libraries and sit there going through the magazines. But have not done that since March 2020. Stay well

How wonderful!! What a delightful way to say thank you! Looks like a fun place to explore as well. I would love to have seen the items you "donated". I bet they were nice too!! Oh, and the peaches! We have been enjoying good peaches this summer at our flea market farm stand. They bring in fresh peaches from SC and GA, and we have been really enjoying them. I don't buy peaches at the grocery store because they are never any good, but these have been wonderful. I am glad you were gifted some lovely peaches too! Isn't that a treat? Have a blessed weekend.
