"Life is a Gift"

 Isn't this a beautiful quote?

It's very simple and we've heard it all our lives but it still 'packs a punch'!

I am always excited when January rolls around. It's all about a new year and new beginnings (and most of you know that I just had a birthday).

We are taking advantage of the beautiful winter weather in Florida to make familiar hikes AND find some new trails.

I always like to see signs and stickers on vehicles. (I haven't been brave enough to put one on the Jeep but I will this year!)

The above mosaic is a sign with a Mockingbird on top, and honey bees on the flowers!

Doesn't it look like a tall gnome could live in this tall tree?

Eastern Bluebird, Flycatcher, Warbler

Let's look up close at the honey bee!

I hope you've seen something that made you smile this week!

Luv today's quote Diane.
Oh and your Feverfew have bee pollinators.
In my yard the butterflies visit them.

HAPPY MONDAY

Happy belated birthday dear lady. Oh yes! Life is surely a gift from our Lord. I try so hard not to take that for granite but I am sure that I do most often. I hope that your week is wonderful. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

we have those white weeds in our yard and leave them there for the bees and for me because I love the way they look. I once potted one and the thing lived and lived and got really beautiful. I thought about sitting it out by the curb and selling it to our Tourist. ha ha.. that swamp is beautiful, I love the way a swamp looks with all the trees in the water, trees are my thing and yes tht is a perfect home for a gnome.

Love your photos of the signs. Would you believe I have a Green Bay Packers sticker and a Ron Jon Surf Shop on the back window of my SUV. I need to get another Vietnam Vet sign-the old one got so raggedy I took it off. Working at the VA I really felt connected to so many of those vets. xo Diana

Looks like a beautiful day hiking - love the bunny! You must have been cold this morning. I was and I'm further south of you. Hoping the temperature goes back up soon!

Aren't we fortunate to live in a place where "winter" can be so colorful and (most of the time) warming!

Your quote should be our anthem which is repeated every day.

Thank you for sharing so many beautiful images!

Yes indeed, life is a gift and it's up to us to live it to the fullest! I admire that about you, Diane, with your zest for life. Love the bees in the flowers. We saw an otter eating a crab at the water the other day and that made me smile.

Haha … that would be the perfect home for a gnome. A belated Happy Birthday to you! What a sweet photo of you as a child in the previous post. You're right. Life, itself, is the biggest gift of all. :)

Diane - you are spot on! Life itself is a gift, and many of us have numerous blessings above and beyond just life. I try to remind myself on those rare days when I am in a crummy mood! I love the mockingbird picture! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Wishing you more Happy Birthday celebrations this month, Diane! I love the bumblebees--they look very happy visiting those pretty flowers. Stickers are a big hit here in Colorado. People put them on their cars and also on street poles and garbage cans, etc.

Another Life is a gift quote but don't know who said it.
Life is a Gift from God.
What you do with it is your gift to God.

Life is a gift if you are affluent in a modern society, with ample food, warmth and shelter. There are many in this world who would consider life a sentence to be served. There are those whose bodies are being broken on torture racks as we speak. You may detect that I despise these simplistic platitudes!

I am late to the party--I do believe you have stumbled on to a wee "leprechauns" home there --not a gnome--leprechauns are a bit taller you see!!!

That last photo is so pretty, and you can almost see the eyes on the honey bee. Those are lovely white flowers. The bluebird is such a precious bird. I always smile when I see it. And I love that tall tree that the gnomes can live in. ; ) The quote is very special too. Have a good rest of the week, Diane.
