You really have to 'look' when you are at Blue Run Park.
There's so much vegetation
and there are sights and sounds all around you!
So here are a few photos from a hike this past week at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon.
The Red-shouldered Hawk is a favorite.
It's not an unusual sighting.
But it's special to us.
We saw these Hawks when they were in the nest and watched them grow!
The camera focused on the spider web but can you see the Hawk?
This turtle has seen it up above him too.
And how about this lazy alligator?
Those are big turtles behind him on the log.
Oh the lazy days of Spring! lol
And do you see the gator from the bridge?
A side view!
Lots of Pied billed Grebes on the river too.
We've had some beautiful weather to enjoy the great outdoors!
Enjoy your weekend!

...I see some beautiful thing, but I can do without the gators.
Beautiful pictures and I like the hawk captures. How wonderful to see them grow from the nest to this big! The spider web photo is amazing too.

Hello,
Love the reflections on the water, it looks like a beautiful sky too.
The Hawk is awesome, love the turtles and the gator. It is nice they are sharing that log. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend.
It all looks so lovely and WARM, as I look out over sleet coming down and temps about to drop again overnight. Bleh.
Your photos are lovely. I would be so happy to walk there!

Great photos, especially ones of the Hawk! Very interesting photo of spider web with hawk in background.
Beautiful reflection photos!
The more you look the more you see! Your last photo is a beautiful dream.
Wonderful shots, Diane! Loved that you caught the spider web accidentally. Lovely!
Quite a verity of wildlife there

This was such a fun visit today! Great photos. Love the hawk and the lazy gators! Thanks for taking us along on you hikes! xo
It's so lush, and a beautiful bird! Also love the turtles. But...
All tremendous captures, even the Gator! Every moment in nature warms the soul.
What a beautiful hawk! I love your photos. You have a real gift for photography.
These are beautiful artistic photos dear!
I really love that Hawk. Great shots.
It sure is beautiful there. Your photos of the hawk are amazing.
Your shots of the hawk are wonderful! The turtles are not afraid of
the gator.
So many beautiful things to see.
One of my favorites is the turtle!
Gorgeous captures!
A beautiful yet amusing post. Have a good week and don't let the gators bite!
The reflection on the water is beautiful.
The red-shouldered hawk is really great photographed.
That aligator, I'm glad we don't have them in nature in the Netherlands, you only see them in the zoo.
Greetings Irma
First of all, that scenic view is picture post card perfect!!! And that hawk photo group is outstanding (the composition & lighting)!!
Thanks so much for taking time to link in with us at I'd Rather B Birdin'. Much appreciated.
What beauty you captured on your hike. Fantastic photos, have a wonderful day.
Your post today illustrates precisely why we love our native state so much. We can find places such as Blue Run Park without having to travel too far and on an "average" day see flora and fauna many people from around the world would consider "exotic"!
Spring in the swamp! Lazy 'gators and turtles. Fluffy Butt Grebes and hawks.
All illustrated so well with your photographs and narrative!
Thank you for a great Spring morning virtual walk, Diane!
Great photos. Those turtles seem unaffected by that lazy gator. We are having a surprisingly cold weekend so I am snuggled in at home. It will warm back up this week so I will be out walking again. xo Laura
I am always shocked with alligators. I suppose it is just like our bears. You just avoid them!
Thanks for showing me the real Florida. I would have visited if were younger and still traveled. It's an amazing place and no one tell you about it.
Beautiful photos (first and last) of the park. I enjoy all the animals in the park except the alligators because they are scary. Like the funny caption about the big "P". Lol!
ooooh i missed this...i thought i had looked at all of my SC posts!! the hawk is gorgeous, beautiful shades of brown. i'll bet he feasts very well in that area and from that vantage point!! the cobweb is AWESOME, but you can keep those gators in florida!!! i hope you had a nice weekend!!
MY favorite.. alligators. :-) Thank you!
Unas lindas capturas las de tu paseo, me encanta todo, el halcón es precioso. Besos.
hm. that hawk would be my favorite too :)
Had to laugh at the lazy gator :) But I prefere it lazy!
Yup -- I wish I could hike that right now! Just beautiful. And that grebe is right about his mate over there ;>)
Wonderful pics! That alligator almost seems staged as if he posed for you.
I'm wondering if that alligator will feast on that slow turtle, oh my. That's a spooky picture of it hiding from the side view. That's a cool picture of the spider web. Spider webs are always beautiful to me. And the close-up of the Hawk is wonderful. He always looks regal. I like the last photo also with the reflection of the clouds in the water. That's really nice.
