Florida Fall featuring the 'Littles'!

We really don't have a problem seeing little things when we hike. We walk really slow! lol

Palm Warbler (thanks hubby for the photo!)

And we are constantly looking about!

Tiny wasp on Dotted Horsemint (it smells incredible, minty sweet!)

It's been perfect hiking weather here this past week and we even took one afternoon hike with it only in the 70s!

So here's a few of the 'littles' we saw on the trails.

Grasshopper

Shiny beetle

Hover fly (hard to photograph but so much fun to see)

Probably a Hornet and not as neat to see!

And not little! For a wasp, it was huge! lol

A teeny tiny moth!

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

We're seeing a lot of these birds right now!

Feay's Palafox at top with honey bee, Cypress vine is the tiny red flower and a small purple morning glory.

Even this horse at Halpata Tastanaki Preserve was small!

Has your weather been nice too? Do you love getting outside in the Fall? The birds are returning to Florida so we've had some good sightings too! Lots of photos to sort through!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

The Gnatcatcher is beautiful! I love your weather! It's getting frosty here but I'm still walking every morning until the cold stops me!! ☺☺

Some wonderful photos here, Diane. I love little things hehehe. The Gnatchatcher is vivid and lovely, and the white moth is cool looking. I saw a couple white butterflies recently. I love that last photo of the field of yellow, it's sooooo pretty. Have a pleasant weekend. It's supposed to rain tomorrow! We need it terribly.

A most enjoyable ramble with you! Our oahu weather has shifted towards slightly cooler wintry delightfulness.

Have you ever wished to ride along the trail on horseback? It looks most pleasant. You and Mr. Lavender Dreams are both very observant.

You have sharp eyes to spy so many tiny things to photograph -- you did very well!

I enjoyed all the pictures, but the Morning Glory fascinated me to the most with its petals so neatly tucked under all around.

Hello Diane :=)

To get out in nature as you do would be my idea of heaven, and you see such interesting creatures. Great shots of all the flying insects, moth, birds, and flowers. The lady on the small pony looks small too! :=))
All the best.

We haven't been as lucky as you with weather this past week. It's been cold.
You sure did see lots of little things while you were out there.

There is so much to see in nature, especially when we dawdle. Great selection of photos, Diane and Mr. L. We've had unusually warm and dry weather, but today it's cloudy with some rain and we are all thankful.

People miss out on so much if they don't take the time to walk.
Your photos are fantastic as always.

Really great pictures! It has been wonderful weather here and I have been sick and not gotten out into any of it. Hopefully that will change this week. I am loving all your little things. They are all there if we keep our eyes open.

The mosquito catcher is beautiful.
Here it is warm for the time of year today it can be 20 degrees Celsius.
I wish you a very nice weekend.

I didn't see a Blue-grey Gnatcatcher at all this year, and now they have all departed - perhaps to visit you.

Hello, yes walking slowly you can see a lot, as in bike riding, I believe I miss too much, and back in the Girl Scout years I remember girls would sing songs loudly as we marched through the woods and fields, that way we could alert animals that we were coming! Per the troop leader's orders! Enjoy your weekend! Take care.

You told us the secret of your success Diane. You actually slow down, look and listen to everything around you. I see so many people doing the exact opposite, stomping around not looking left, right or overhead. And they hardly ever carry bins or a camera so their "walks" seem pointless to me.

Great images on your hikes!! Love the gnatcatcher and look forward to more of your Autumn Florida birds.
You linking in this week at I'd Rather B Birdin' is much appreciated!

Wow, a brilliant set of birds and the insects, love 'em.

There is always something interesting to see if only we slow down to appreciate the little things around us. We don't have 4 seasons here, only dry and wet season. When it doesn't rain, it is hot.
