The Colors of Autumn

We have 'Fall colors' here in Florida but they may not be typical of our neighbors to the North.

Fall brings colorful flowers that rival the Spring wildflowers.

We even found one that was new to us this week walking on the Florida Trails from parking on hwy 484. I actually got off the trail to take the photos and got into some thorns. So I drew blood to take this photo! lol

But it's a beautiful time of year. Our temps are milder and the humidity is a lot lower.

We are hiking just about every other day! I wish I had the energy to go every day!

Purple is throughout the forest right now....

with splashes of yellow!

Coralbean

Red berries

Virginia Creeper

Cypress trees

Maple leaves

I hope you've enjoyed our Autumn colors.

I'm not sure my Mosaic Monday buddies got to see my fairy forest post HERE

It was magical!

Have a beautiful week!

I'm joining Mosaic Monday HERE

Your photos are gorgeous, Diane. They always are, but these particularly appeal to me. I was telling someone in another comment I've not seen a single mushroom this year. Not one -- here or up north (where they are usually bountiful.) Weather? Rain or lack of it? Climate change? Who knows.

Beautiful!!!
Our autumn color is here and we are soaking in the beautiful days. :-) I love the sunlight dancing on the trees and plants during the autumn months.

Beautiful photos! You are seeing all of my favorite Florida fall colors and flowers! We saw many more of them when we lived in the Ocala National Forest/Salt Springs area, but we still have some here as well...just not as much. We've sure had some beautiful fall weather this past week, although a bit too dry. Fires are starting to pop up here and there. Thank you for sharing your fall beauties with us. Happy Autumn days!!!

Those flowers from the thorny bush are so pretty. Sorry you got pricked from them. The orange butterfly is precious, and I love all the purple in the woods right now. It's my favorite color. I would have to stop for awhile and gaze upon those berries. They have such a gorgeous color. Can't believe October is coming to and end. Enjoy the Fall season in Florida, Diane. It's been nice to see all the Autumns in the different states. : )

Wonderful photos, Diane. I always loved the subtle changes of seasons in FL. It takes a while to appreciate them if you are native to the northern state where you see huge nature changes in the season.
I hope you have a wonderful, blessed Wednesday- xo Diana
