Red, White and Blue

These colors are found in nature everywhere we look!

Red-bellied Woodpecker

I enjoyed watching this one work his way up a pine tree in the forest.

And for white, I'll share this section of the trail I was on.

This is a cluster of frogfruit that is growing on a trail of crushed seashells.

It's BRIGHT in the direct summer sunshine!

This airplane was a beautiful blue.

And I saw a couple of Blue Jays too.

And don't even get me started on the flowers!

We enjoy an abundance of color year round here in the Sunshine State of Florida.

Are you having a colorful summer too?

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

  and Mosaic Monday HERE !

You've had some wonderful sightings. That plane looks very close! (Or well zoomed and cropped!)

What a vibrant array of colors from nature! The red-bellied woodpecker, blue jay, and bright frogfruit all look stunning. Florida seems like a perfect place for year-round color. I just posted a new blog post: I invite you to share your opinion. Thank you.

You know I haven't been paying as much attention to the colors around me. YOu have awakened my senses to start looking. I know I saw a lot of little yellow wildflowers on our walk this morning. I was thinking about the fact that August/September usually start the purple/lavender colored wildflowers, so I will be watching for them. Right now I am just seeing a LOT of GREEN since we've been having so much rain! That is actually a happy color to see! Love your photos. Thank you for sharing them with us.

A wonderful color combination and you did good at finding examples of it in nature.

What a pleasant walk full of birds and wildflowers. I find the flying bluejay beautiful in an artistic way. I always call my photos like that essence of a bird. Just lovely.

The vivid colors of birds and flowers must be one of nature’s most generous gifts — assuming that nature cares what we think, that is. The closer one gets to the tropics, the more color one sees, which means up here in the North we really have to appreciate the cardinal!
What a lovely, thoughtful post you have written.

Lovely shots! A lot of our colors have faded due to the drought.

Great presentation in this post. I think the Blue Jay tops the blue airplane :) :)
Take care.

I'm pleased for you that the weather allowed you to get out on a trail again. It is still too hot here to go for a walk, and if I did, I wouldn't see a beautiful Blue Jay or a Red-bellied Woodpecker, so thank you for sharing Diane.
All the best
Hugs right back to you :)

Thank you for sharing an outstanding selection of summer colors.

Keep your heads down the rest of the day and fingers crossed we won't get too many limbs down or too much flooding.

Darn Debby Downer.

Here's to more color next week for us all!

Your photos are wonderful as always. I actually got out and took a walk the other day. I called a girlfriend and we packed a picnic and went North to a lake that had a nice path along the side of it. It was really nice getting out in nature and Beulah loved it. She loves riding in the car with me too and going places but this time of the year it's just too hot to leave her in the car even to run into the grocery store.
Thank you for the sweet and concerning comment that you left on my blog. Hope you're having a wonderful summer, Connie
