We had such a fun weekend! We went to a couple of places! Saturday was the Cross Creek Festival sponsored by the C.C. Volunteer Fire Department.
My Daddy was a volunteer fireman for all the years I was growing up so these heroes hold a special place in my heart!
We listened to great blue grass music....
ate BBQ chicken cooked on the grill (we shared...but hubby got ALL of the brownie!)
saw neat exhibits....
and bought hand made crafts!
A good time was had by all!
And here are my TWO BAGS FULL! heehee!
I just HAD to pick up some pinecones...
and buy some jewelry!
This sweet lady had the most beautiful jewelry at really great prices! But I was trying to limit myself to 2 of her hand crafted necklaces when she surprised me by giving me a third pendant! A piece of sea glass wrapped in silver wire! I was SO excited and happy! Thanks Danielle!
Hubby chose this hand woven 'pine needle' basket! It's made from the 'long leaf' pine needles and has a black walnut slice in the center of the bottom! AMAZING!
And we just had to get this cute centipede....
oh, and some marinated mushrooms...
a bit on the HOT and SPICEY side!
So that was one of our FUN DAYS! Did you do something special on the weekend?

You guys know how to have some fun! I love all the treasures that you found, but that basket could live in my house any day. ;>
What a lovely weekend you had both in activity and weather,it poured with rain all weekend here and I never even got to venture out of the door! Thanks for sharing and brightening things up.
I couldn't but notice those awesome trees too!!!!
I started to set up my Christmas trees on the weekend..., oh and drilled and painted my shell ornaments too!
Hello:
nice photos.I love your blog.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs.
I can't get past that bbq chicken. Yummy! Sounds like a fun day.
That looks like a great place to be. Loved all your homemade crafts that you bought. We love those local Festivals and Don's going to search the web to see if there is any place where they're listed. Have a great day.
Looks like a fun day. Your basket reminds me a little bit of the sweetgrass baskets they make in Charleston. After having a real problem with centipedes in our house, I never thought of them as cute. That is until I saw yours :)
It looks like you had a fun day Diane! You found such beautiful items to buy!
My husband and I did long overdo yard work this weekend..we bagged quite a bit of leaves. Now it's Advil time ..lol!
Oh my goodness! I can't get over the blue skies and the Spanish Moss! Thank you for sharing this beautiful day with us! I have such fond memories of the largest ever pine cones that can be found in the South.
My mother always featured them in our Nativity scene on our mantle. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving Day! Elizabeth
Perfect weather, lovely gifts, great music and the best company ... what more could a girl want? Sounds just wonderful to me!
Warmest Hugs,
