I never really notice this wall. We sit in these leather recliners to watch TV in the living room. We added a small bookcase behind the chairs for some overflow whatnots and movies. (I’m constantly changing those shelves out.) But it’s been a long time since I changed what was on top.
I found this before photo, taken in the Spring with some ducks added. Most of the time it was just a tall vase and some candles.
I walked into the room a few days ago and it looked all wrong. lol
So I took a wire basket and filled it with most of the greenery and added some starfish. WHEW! Much better!
Next I would like to add some more art to this wall. Maybe one tall painting on one side and 2 smaller on the other. We’ll see what I can come up with.
Some days I think I just move stuff around from one spot to another….one room to another! Round and round I go! Do you think it’s hormones gone awry? hahaha!

Yes definately hormones. LOL. I do the same thing. Right now I'm trying to do a little update myself. Making new throw pillows and I've made a window treatment for the backdoor off the kitchen. It came out pretty cute. Have a great week.

I like your starfish basket, vibrant colors! Now I have a suggestion (not that you asked :-) What about painting just that wall an accent color. I think it would look awesome!

I do the same. It's a regular merry-go-round. Looks good to me either way and the recliners look wonderfully comfortable.

I am always moving stuff around from room to room in our house Diane. My mother always loved to decorate and would do the same so I guess I come by it honestly. I like your basket of flowers and seastars. I think adding a collage of prints or photos on your wall would be nice. Have fun!

I just had a garage sale this weekend...so I took down a lot of stuff before that, but I've been sitting here looking at things and thinking that I need to do some rearranging.

You make me laugh when you said "round and round I go". That seems to be the general consensus for us women. Sometimes I change things only to turn around and put them back the way they were in the first place. But, sometimes the new arrangement works. There are times I stand back and look, then look again and tweak it, add something, change my mind, start from scratch and think I am crazy. It is a woman's prerogative to be able to change her mind. We are flexible like that, we have to be in our ever changing world.

LOL - my hubby never knows what he'll come home to. I'm constantly rearranging things. I like this wire basket better -- the lower arrangement is very pretty with the candles flanking it. Of course you would add shells and starfish! So pretty!

I like the blue starfish and lower basket. My opinion, cnsidering the size of the chairs, a larger piece of art with a wide wood frame would work well.

We just purchased a recliner chair off Craig's List that looks a lot like yours ... yet our room shape (and, of course, cable box) doesn't allow for much re-arranging - darn it!
