Did I say TWO?

Yes I found TWO fabulous items at New Visions last week. It’s a huge building but the two things I bought were about 3 feet apart.

I just looked at this quickly as I walked by. I wasn’t sure about the price. It seemed too low so I bought the cradle and went back another day to inquire on this.

But yes, it’s a printer’s tray/drawer. And it was marked $19. Oh my! I was thrilled!

I’ll take it back to Florida and probably put shells in it. I think I’ll put it on my coffee table but I’ve looked on Pinterest and a lot of people hang them on the wall. (and I’ll take better photos of it! lol)

It sure is fun to find some neat and interesting things while we’re here.

Yes, I have one-- love it. It's hanging on a wall. My dad had a bunch of these back in the 50s-- he got rid of them in the 60s when he got married. If we only knew! Enjoy yours!

I love your printer's tray. I had a reproduction tray that wasn't very well made and it broke. I wouldn't mind another one and I too would fill it with shells.

You are the Queen of awesome findings. I'm sure those shells are going to feel totally at home in this fantastic drawer. They might even dream that they are printing stamps.

That's perfect! It looks almost like the one I found a couple weeks ago. I stained mine and I'm trying to decide if I want to hang it on the wall or go to the trouble of making a table out of it. Great find Diane. xo

Diane, I have always loved these printers trays. I actually worked for a weekly newspper (my first job) who still did that old timey printing and they actually used these! I think I would hang it on the wall too. Let us know what you did with it when you get back!

Oh yes, I've seen printers trays. In museums. Lucky you, Diane. Great find! The other thing I like are the little sets of drawers that old dentists offices had.

Hi Diane, you found a treasure!! I have one just like it and hung mine on the wall of my sewing room to display my thimble collection. It works great for that and holds many thimble treasures.

That is such a cool piece that you found, Diane. It would be nice for miniature things, and maybe brooches, and Oh Yes, seashells, like you mentioned. Please show us what you decide to do with it. I'm so curious.

Love your old printers trays.. they are difficult to come by.

shells will look great.. little stones of different shapes. glass.. so much you can do.
Can't wait to see them when you have them hung up or on your table..

I used to have one of those...not that big though. They're nice for little items to be displayed as they can easily get lost among bigger things. Great idea about the shells and maybe your sea glass? Great find!
