Gift Giving for Girls

It’s fun to give gifts that you know the recipient will like. And very nice to receive those perfect gifts.

I have to brag on my hubby just a little bit. He is a great shopper and loves to surprise me.

Awhile back he bought me some Dallas Cowboy gear! I’ve been a HUGE Cowboy fan since the 1960s but I don’t think I’ve ever had a Cowboy t shirt. I don’t know why….I just never got one. So when he found all of this in a store in St. Augustine, he fixed me up with a shirt, cap and coolie cup.

But the big surprise came when we sat down to watch Monday night football a week or so ago. I was in my chair watching the starting kick off when he started acting funny…kind of silly, funny!

He pulled out a Dallas Cowboy BEAR from between our chairs. Somehow he had managed to buy it at the festival in McIntosh, carry it around and get home with it without me even noticing. I’m still wondering how that happened! lol

Are you ready for some football?

What do you MEAN another 10 yard penalty?

I’m ready for more football!

Don’t I have a great hubby? He named my bear Mo though…so he’s not perfect! hahaha!

Good morning Diane
I don't watch football but sure know who your favourite team is. What a lovely gesture from your hubby to surprise you with the items and then the surprise of the bear.
He is one special man who obviously appreciates you!

Cute bear. Hubby knows how to keep his wife happy. Since we live in Bronco Country, the Cowboys come in a close second. We don't play Dallas, so I can cheer them on, too.

Boy, I had to read four posts to get caught up here!! Your husband knows you well, and I love that little Cowboys bear ;) Lucky, lucky you! I've enjoyed reading about your thrift shopping (I wish my receipt was that low when I go into the store ... which hasn't been for a while). You got some wonderful things there. One thing grabbed my attention though ... you have a "Dolls' Room"?!! Have you shown that on your blog? I'd love to take a peek around at all your lovely dolls. Enjoy your day! Wendy x

Your husband is incredibly sweet. ♥

My husband is a Texas Aggie/Dallas Cowboy fan. He wears something from one of those teams every day this time of year. :)

What a sweet hubby! I don't follow any football, unless Alabama is playing Auburn, and then I care that Alabama wins, but I just don't watch the games, or anything. So nice that you and your husband watch together.

Diane, What a sweet surprise. I love when Ted gets me something for no reason other than he was thinking of me. I hope you and your hubby like the same teams. My grandson Korey and his dad are huge cowboy fans. :):) xoxo,Susie

I'm a big Bears fan and have been for years but finally got fed up with some of the mindset, violence and victimization of women so I've stopped watching.
Your hubby is a sweetie though to get you all that stuff. Cute bear too!

Yes, you do have a wonderful husband! I had to chuckle while reading this, my husband has been a cowboy fan since the 60's too. He's still loyal even though we live in Saints land! :-)
