Dollhouse supplies “Wednesday Wee Ones”

I’m always saying I don’t have a dollhouse.

But look…

IMG_1976

I have a tiny dollhouse right here, complete with a swimming pool and garden!

And I recently found a book of dollhouse paper at the thrift store for a great price.

(it’s BIG, almost 11 inches wide!)

IMG_1461

Don’t you love it?

IMG_1468

It’s filled with prepasted wallpaper with coordinating designs and even borders. I’m all set if I find a dollhouse to work on this year.

It’s on my wish list. What’s on yours?

Update…Thanks ALWAYS for the sweet comments. I’ve gotten a couple asking if this is a Polly Pocket doll house. I bought this tiny doll house (it folds up) and the small dolls at the thrift store so I don’t really know. I’ll have to do some research!

Have a FUN Wednesday and remember to

Take time to PLAY!

I'm in love with your wallpaper book! It reminds me of the cardboard box houses my sisters and I made - despite having our own lovely, beautifully furnished one that Santa brought. The best part was applying wallpaper. But in our case it was the humongous patterns from "real" books. You are going to have so much fun with your dainty papers!

The wall paper book for doll houses is a great find. Hope your next find will be the doll house that you can use these on! In the meantime, enjoy your little house with the pool and garden!

That is a great find. I loved all your cute things from the previous post also. You need to check out Mona at Wsprsweetly of Cottages. She has the cutest doll in her post today. Is that a polly pocket doll house? Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Well, I' d say that the wallpaper book is the find of the year. Now you certainly must find a doll house, or order a samll kit and build one. I search the thrift stores here for miniatures and such, and wonder just how lucky I was to find that box last year when I was re doing my daugther's childhood dollhouse. A shoe box full of shingles, furniture, and so dolls for 5 dollars. Haven't had such a find since. Now a wallpaper book is just amazing. As for the little doll, I am guessing that she is a strawberry short cake based on her face. Fabulous finds, Diane.

That is so fun, Diane! We recently took our daughter's dollhouse that Mr. C and I made 25 years ago, to her. She and her little one are redecorating it with scrapbook papers from Joann's. They're having so much fun!

Hello Diane,
finally I made it here!
Firefox didn't let me open your profile, so there I sat...
And today I got the idea to use Mr. Google, and here I am :)
When I was a little girl, I had a 2 room doll house, I loved it very much. My parents threw it away some day, but today I miss it. Would love to use some of the paper you have there to decorate it :))
Have a fine day

Maybe you could make your own dollhouse...maybe you could talk your Beloved into helping you! My parents had a lot of fun working on the dollhouse that eventually became my daughter's.

I have a dollhouse. I bought it about 10 years ago. Several years after I purchased it I told my husband about it. It was in the box, under our bed. He wanted a project that winter so we got it out in his wood shop and he worked on it for well over a month. I have all the wallpaper (it came with it) and a large tote of furnishings to decorate it with. It sits in one of my spare bedrooms, still unfinished. My husband passed away 2 years ago last month. My regret is that I never had the time to finish it so he would see it before he died. Two years of us dealing with his cancer and dialysis put everything on hold. I really need to make time and get that done. I have always loved dolls, dollhouses and miniatures.

What a sweet doll house - and oh the book of wallpapers. I built a doll house for our oldest daughter one christmas long long ago. I was working at the time and the kids got home from school just a few minutes before I did - so I couldn't leave the dollhouse in progress in the house. Every night I would work on it after the kids went to bed - then I would take it down the 6 steps to the car, load it in the backseat and cover it with a blanket. Then later that night I would have to unload the doll house - work on it after the kids had gone to bed and repeat - day after day, until it was finished. Our daughter's birthday is in mid November and we lived in Kansas - so many of those trips to and from the car were in the snow. But I got it done in time and the girls enjoyed it for years. I hope you find a doll house - or can build one - that is great fun too.

cute little doll house, don't think its Polly Pockets
I have a wooden one that hubby made when the girls were little and it has travelled back from England with us when we moved. Now the grandkids play with it. One of these days I would love to do i up with miniature furniture ... right now it's full of Fisher Price furniture and a motley collection of all sorts of things.

Hi! I was so delighted to see you commented on my rather pathetic post today. Thank you so much!!! I have two doll houses. One is still in the box under the bed and has never been opened..and the other I bought already together and they did a terrible job of it. I meant to get it papered and furished and the other one put together and I have never done it. :( Now, I don't believe I ever will. Makes me sad. Those papers are just so pretty. What fun to look through them!

oh I hope that you find a dollhouse / it would be fun watching you work on it and it's decor.

I don't have one but I did buy a calico critters set for the grands about 3-4 years ago. HA! This grandma wanted it for herself and used the grands as an excuse, I think ...:)

You know I'm always hoping that you'll find a dollhouse! If I could easily mail one to you, I would! I seem to have a fair few dollhouses in my collection. Keep on playing and hunting!!

What a great find as the paper could be used for so much!

Oh my, I didn't know they had dollhouse paper to spruce up the dollhouse. The girls used to have a dollhouse when they were little, but I gave it away when they were grown, and now I wish I'd kept it. Keep dreaming of your dollhouse, Diane. It's a wonderful gift to give yourself.
