How neat! Very cool pictures, and I love the "Splatter Zone" sign! LOL!!

What a effective custom sign!! You have to wonder though ... for them to have that sign, someone must have first been splattered ;] Happy Birthday Lu. Um, where's Lu's party hat Miss Diane?! Not just for the birds!

Love your shadow picture with the fence, what a great idea! Lu the hippo evidently splatters people a bit.

Happy hippo day! Stay well back from that fence! Glad you had a fun time!

55 sounds so young for us...but I thought that was old for a hippo. But then I am not real knowledgeable about them. Glad there was a fence. :):) You do see some unusual things.Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I'm wondering how they know Lulu is that old...cutie pie that she is.

That's a good old ripe age...and I had no idea that hippos got that old.

Is Lu a guy? I thought it was a girl? I hope those were "good fences"...hippos can be very dangerous!

Gotta have that camera handy at all times, as you never know when a fence might splash up.

That was fun. Lu seems to be enjoying life there. I have a friend who lives in Homosassa, she's never mentioned a zoo there. I'll have to ask her why? I'd stay clear of the splatter zone for sure!
