Minnie meets Opal “Wednesday Wee Ones”

Mickey and Minnie were so pleased that Opal got a new dress and some ‘mouse ears’!

frameIMG_2328

And I was thrilled to meet a sweet lady at a neighborhood craft fair who makes the most adorable doll clothes.

My doll Opal is a My Life doll from Walmart.

IMG_2341

And isn’t this dress just made for her?

I put a few things around her for the photo shoot…

IMG_2331

including my stack of old Nancy Drew books, old Zoo themed tins and my antique gum ball machine.

IMG_2332

This gum ball machine is glass and heavy metal and one of my favorite thrift store finds.

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

and Roses of Inspiration.

And don’t forget to

Take time to PLAY!!!

Hi Diane!
Opal looks so pretty in her dress. With her dress, ears and shoes, she is ready to join the Disney Parade in Disney world.
Lucky are you to have a lovely lady who makes beautiful dolls' clothes in your neighbourhood.
Are you going to fill the gumballl machine with gumballs?
Thanks for sharing those photos with us.
Hugs, Arlette

How cute that Minnie Mouse outfit is on your beautiful Opal! Those Nancy Drew books brought me right back to the years my sisters and I spent a good part of our summer reading them.
I loved seeing that you, too, were a winner at the primitive folk art site and are receiving some charming hand made gifts too!

Oh Miss Opal is just darling!!! She is ready for a Disneyland Adventure for sure. I love that she has the same polka dot dress, sometimes special fabrics like that are hard to find. What a treasure to find someone in your neighborhood that makes the cute clothes. Does she have dolls too? You could get together and play and the dolls could visit.

I'm off to sew Valentine Aprons - and sunsuits - and garden aprons - hope your day is as much fun.

Very cute doll-sized Minnie ears! My daughter loved Minnie Mouse when we visited Disneyworld. She thought Minnie was a real live mouse! Why are there no gumballs in your gumball machine.

With a 2 1/2 year old granddaughter and her little sister of nearly 3 months, I imagine that dolls and doll clothes will be playing a large part in my life as a grandmother searching or birthday and Christmas gifts from now on. After all, with 4 grown grandsons, it's about time!
