The Cross Florida Greenway “Good Fences”

We hiked a new trail last weekend.

gateIMG_2519

It was the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway trail. (or a small part of it)

We hiked for 2 hours which is about our limit but it was such a beautiful day.

It’s always exciting to go on a trail we’ve never been on before.

You just never know what you’ll see or ‘hear’!

We heard 2 owls calling back and forth to each other, ‘who cooks for you’! We also saw a hawk fly low to the ground right in front of us across the trail. It was nice to see a few other hikers, a couple of bikes and then THIS!!!

It was a first for us!

I’m joining Tex for the

Good Fences party.

I have seen the sign on 75 but I have never knew exactly what it was. I'm glad you shared it with us. How neat to find a horse drawn buggy along the way.

Blessings,

My late husband and I have hiked many trails in Florida. Florida has such diverse areas to explore. I live full time in Daytona Beach. Where in central Florida do you live.

Seeing these photos makes me long for spring. I can't wait to get outside on a warm(er) day so we can go for a hike!
What a treat to see a horse drawn wagon along the way! I have run into horses before on hiking trails but never a wagon! Enjoy the rest of the weekend Diane!

What fun you had - love the horse. I'm slowly catching up on reading blogs - being in the hospital really makes one get behind.

Catching up with you Diane :)
What a beautiful trail you discovered. The owls and hawk sound amazing. The couple in the buggy don't look very happy. My sister and I used to ride horses on trails, and just loved it!
