We consider ourselves so very blessed to live in Florida during the winter months.
It’s beautiful everywhere you look!
We are hiking at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon at least once a week.
One of our favorite sightings this week was this Green Heron.
I know he looks midnight blue but he has green and dark red colors too. And in the background you can see the Duckweed, which is a beautiful green plant that grows on the surface of the water.
I hope you've had a good week too! 🍁
I’m joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE.

Hello,
It is great to have a favorite park and walk to do weekly. I would love seeing the Green Herons year round. Love the photos. Have a happy day and a great new week ahead!
I would also like to live in this place, where winter looks beautiful, as shown in the pictures. Heron is in beautiful colors. Greetings.
Never have seen such a critter as a blue heron. It’s fun to come here and learn something new. Keep having fun hiking!

What great shots! That green heron is wonderful and how great to be close enough to get that great shot. You are blessed to live in such a beautiful area. Do love our visits to Florida! I'd take walks with you all any day! I'll have to share our last summer trip sometime.
Have a sweet day, Diane~

Those herons stay around a small area.Lovely birds
That green heron is quite pretty, isn't it? You are lucky to live where you can get out and see birds, etc. all year long. xo Diana

It is pretty there but around here not so much and it's way too cold
It's even cold in Texas this year. We have 20 something on the forecast for tomorrow morning! Enjoy your Florida winter.
So fun to see what you see while out hiking. You'll be especially glad to be in Florida now with all of the frigid temps around the country.
Lovely to see your photographs of the Green Heron.
I liked your mosaic too.
Enjoy the week ahead.
All the best Jan
Your mosaic is beautiful...how blessed you are indeed!

Would be nice to be down there for a visit but I sure would miss the snow. :)
Duckweed is such a pretty background for waterbirds!
What a gorgeous bird! And I love the color of the duck weed!
It looks so nice and warm there. I can only dream of it as I suffer the below freezing temperatures. I always love your bird pictures.
Diane - so glad you continue to get out and about for your hikes - 'cause it means you can share these lovely photos and mosaics with the rest of us! I hope you got my email about how to deal with the linky party changes! Have a wonderful week!

Hi Diane, that was Nel and Jess and my son in the photo. He's the youngest of them. And those were sunrise photos. Unfortunately, I don't get to see the sunsets as often as I'd like, but since I'm a morning person, I enjoy the sunrises often. Thanks for visiting. : )
Wishing you many wonderful February days ahead.

Gorgeous photos of the Green Heron. I love living in Florida too, but today is too cold for me!
Hello Friend,
Blow some Southern Sunshine and Warmth this way.. up north :-).
Great photos as always my friend.

The Green Herons are so pretty! We saw one for the first time last year. I never heard of Duckweed. I am assuming the ducks love it! Your photos are beautiful!
Reading your blog, I understand why you love Florida. The nature walks that are available are just wonderful, all the safe trails, the ponds, the trees, the birds, even the alligators.
I would be so thankful to be there right now...except I would be too far from our grandchild...but it is just bitter cold right now!
Great to live in Florida, it looks like there is no winter.
The photos of this heron are really beautiful.
Best regards Irma
Now that is what winter should look like!!! Enjoy it for me. We're at -30F today before factoring in the wind. Lovely heron!!
What a beautiful bird! We have some blue one around here although I have never been able to get very close. Super photos! Sweet hug to you, my friend!
It's so awesome that you get out for those hikes and see such beautiful birds and nature. I enjoy looking at your pretty photos Diane. It's very cold here but I went Monday and today to the gym to exercise. You feel so much better and have more energy when you are moving.
Enjoy the week.
