*Winter Beauty'

We consider ourselves so very blessed to live in Florida during the winter months.

It’s beautiful everywhere you look!

We are hiking at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon at least once a week.

One of our favorite sightings this week was this Green Heron.
I know he looks midnight blue but he has green and dark red colors too. And in the background you can see the Duckweed, which is a beautiful green plant that grows on the surface of the water.

I hope you've had a good week too! 🍁
I’m joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE.

I would also like to live in this place, where winter looks beautiful, as shown in the pictures. Heron is in beautiful colors. Greetings.

So fun to see what you see while out hiking. You'll be especially glad to be in Florida now with all of the frigid temps around the country.

Hi Diane, that was Nel and Jess and my son in the photo. He's the youngest of them. And those were sunrise photos. Unfortunately, I don't get to see the sunsets as often as I'd like, but since I'm a morning person, I enjoy the sunrises often. Thanks for visiting. : )

Wishing you many wonderful February days ahead.

The Green Herons are so pretty! We saw one for the first time last year. I never heard of Duckweed. I am assuming the ducks love it! Your photos are beautiful!

Reading your blog, I understand why you love Florida. The nature walks that are available are just wonderful, all the safe trails, the ponds, the trees, the birds, even the alligators.

I would be so thankful to be there right now...except I would be too far from our grandchild...but it is just bitter cold right now!

It's so awesome that you get out for those hikes and see such beautiful birds and nature. I enjoy looking at your pretty photos Diane. It's very cold here but I went Monday and today to the gym to exercise. You feel so much better and have more energy when you are moving.
Enjoy the week.
