You can never go back!

Well, you can….you just won’t see the same thing that you saw before! lol

flowerIMG_2232

I take a lot of shortcuts and one day this week I drove on a back road and saw wild turkeys under a Live Oak Tree.

I was happy to get a couple of photos (from my window) but decided to go back the very next day and try to get better pics.

Well….this time there was a herd of about 20 goats under that same tree! (and no, I didn’t get a very good photo of them)

But I did drive down a side road to try and saw an alligator!

Right in someone’s FRONT YARD! giggle giggle!

I’ve had such a good week! The weather is so gorgeous and I’ve been hiking every day I can find the time and energy!

And my Fall Mum is blooming again! We set the pot outside when it finished blooming and look at it now!

AND…strawberries are in season here in Florida!

I’m thankful for so many things this week!

So….I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

Fresh Strawberries are a thing to be grateful for Diane!! The SandHill Cranes are here in Decatur right now. They should be leaving this week to head on their migration path.

The weather has been so pretty. I have never ever had a mum rebloom. Poinsettias yes, but I usually give up on the mums. That is very cool. I love strawberries. They are one the top of my favorites.

What a great season you are having! Love your pictures and the 'gator'...too funny....at least it's not a real one in their yard! The strawberries look luscious...lucky you!

I LOVE FLORIDA! I truly do.. your mum is gorgeous, LOVE the alligator. and I find going back I rarely see what I saw but I always find something as good, just like you did. I love goats, so that would have made me happy

Our strawberries in the store taste like styrofoam packing peanuts! Those look yum.

I've seen more turkeys this month than all last year. Must be a population boom!

Strawberries were selling for $7 a pint at Christmastime. Needless to say, we went without. I am definitely jealous of your in season strawberries. That homeowner with an alligator mailbox post has a sense of humor. Oh those mums are pretty! How nice that you are getting more blooms.

I chuckled cause I see turkeys around here all the time. They even roam in the neighborhoods hehehe. They are peculiar looking, but I just love them. Your Fall Mums are so pretty. They must be cheerful to look at during the Winter days. Those strawberries look soooo good.

You always find the most interesting things on your walks--from fungus to wild cats. Thank you for visiting the dollhouse. I know how hard it is find dollhouses in thrift stores. You are more likely find one in the trash heap on the street waiting for the garbage truck to pick up the trash. I know that you would have fun. Rain here today, with the promise of snow. We'll see about that. Enjoy your sunshine. Soak up some for me.

That mailbox is a hoot!! So fun! I love whimsical stuff like that! Love your hikes and the pictures. I've not been very motivated AT ALL. Even a short walk tires me out so. I've got to get "back at it". Sadness takes it right out of your soul doesn't it? I will email you. Hugs, my friend!!

That alligator cracks me up.

We have strawberries pretty much year round here - one of the prime strawberry regions in the country. In winter when all the wonderful summer fruit is gone, I'm so glad we still have strawberries.

Love the gator! I'd like to get a turkey picture that is as clear as yours.
