A few Forgotten Pics

I love taking hikes!

And I really enjoy working on the photos when I get home.

But there are always a few photos that get overlooked when I write a post.

We've have so many wildflowers right now and lots of butterflies.

There are SO many big grasshoppers and dragonflies that they run into you when you're walking!

A leaf hopper!

He's teeny tiny!

Every color dragonfly!

A pretty Cardinal.

And a Sandhill Crane!

Just a few things to be thankful for this week! Are you having pretty weather now too?

Oh what beautiful pictures! Our weather here in northwest Indiana is still "iffy".... some gorgeously sunny with temps in the 50's and some rainy & cold with temps barely reaching up out of the 30's. It's the coldest spring I can remember but then again, my memory's not so good anymore. :-D It will warm up here too, all in good time. Happy Thursday. Love, Andrea xoxo

Fabulous Diane ... Your hiking pictures are spectacular ... You always have such interesting nature shots ... I love the butterfly and dragonfly images. It’s as if they posed for you. We are experiencing unusually cold weather here... and other snow storm is on it’s way ... so there’s no sign of spring yet... Your post was such a welcoming sight...Thank you for sharing the beauty

You really got up close and personal with a number of subjects. Lovely shots, I often just like to hunt butterflies or dragonflies

A Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly! I have seen only one in my life - I was so excited! Actually I get excited to see all kinds of butterflies! We had a gorgeous day yesterday, but rain today. But hey, it is rain that makes the flowers grow!

Pretty weather? What is that? Pretty above; pretty awful below with more snow on its way.

That’s why I like hanging out with the cheerful people who have pretty things to share.😁

Oh, these photos are wonderful, Diane. I especially like the red cardinal. It is a dream of mine to one day see the red cardinal. They are beautiful birds, and we don't see them here where I live. The dragonfly picture is cool, and you can see its detailed wings. And the leaf hopper on the yellow flower is so pretty. And you got the butterflies - those are sure hard to take a picture of.

Have a nice and restful weekend, and I hope you get to take another hike.

What a beautiful collection of photos you gathered into a stunning post! Love all the butterfly and insect pictures, really great photography as it is hard to get them without movement in the photo! I enjoy taking pictures when I am outdoors too, and you are right, they don't always fit into a particular post, it is fun to do a post like this :) We don't have red cardinals here, and they truly are an amazingly beautiful bird. Have a blessed and lovely week ahead!
