Looks can be deceiving....

We walked at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon last week and it was like being put in a snow globe, except instead of snow, there were leaves!

It was windy but it wasn't cool. It was 82 degrees! And the wind was warm.

But the wind was blowing the dead leaves off the trees and it truly was magical.

All around us the leaves swirled and drifted overhead. I took my cap off to look up and cypress leaves (that resemble evergreen sprigs) caught in my hair.

So beautiful!!!

There were lots of people out walking and enjoying the warm, 'Fall like' day.

Have you had a chance to get outside this week? It's the best time of year to hike here in Florida!

So take a walk with me....

the video is less than a minute and we'll walk along the trail and then look over at a stream of water. (where the baby alligators were a year ago) And speaking of neat sightings! If you missed my amazing Barred Owl sighting, click HERE

FINALLY! I saw an owl on one of my hikes! YAY!!!

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

It sounds magical indeed. No, I do not walk since there are no sidewalks and the roads are icy. Course, it's going to rain and the temps will rise into the 50s so perhaps I'll be without an excuse. Rats! ☺

Oh, I love that video! And all the beautiful photos! Here it is December and it’s finally looking like FALL! The leaves are lovely! I would walk there if I could wiggle my nose and be in Florida!

I love the water way in the last few seconds of your video walk... I much prefer falling leaves in 82 degrees than snow... beautiful trail you were on.

Oh holy goodness that word “snow” scared me for a moment! But it was worth it because of the pretty word picture you painted of your Autumn walk! And then I loved the actual pictures and am very impressed with your video skills! You know, this is my kind of late Autumn weather. So glad to be here.

All the different colors and shapes of the leaves is quite beautiful. I enjoyed our little walk. I especially love coming across a little brook or stream tucked away in the brush. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

It looks so pretty there and the trees still have leaves on them. A lot of the trees are bare now. I enjoyed looking at your photos. Enjoy the week.

Diane, The trail looks so inviting. I love being out when the leaves are whirling. I have not been out much lately. Today I do go to lunch with Teddy at D.Q. My back hurt the whole time, but I need fresh air. Blessings to you my friend, xoxo, Susie

No hikes here but I am looking forward to it this spring with two new knees! Your video was a lovely respite! There are falling leaves in Florida, in the late Fall!

When the days are dark and gray, it's like a ray of sunshine to see the bright yellow fall leaves either on the branches or the ground. - Margy

I do love walking when the leaves swirl down from the trees. There are no leaves left here, now, but we just got back from an evening walk in the dark, crisp air - just above freezing. I love fresh air. Sleep much better when I've had a dose.
How magical a walk you enjoyed!

That does sound absolutely magical my friend....I can imagine the leaves swirling and twirling about right now. What a pretty pretty lane to walk on. Love that path. I love to walk in the woods. So quiet and you can hear the birds and really look at the trees, their bark, branches, etc. We went for a long hike in the woods last month...I haven't posted it yet though. Love your pictures and I sure do love the owls!!--so neat you got to see this one and you got great pictures. Hugs!

What a beautiful day! Thank you for the video....but that little fence isn't going to keep the alligators from coming up on the trail! Stay alert! I haven't walked for a few days as I was getting ready for Christmas and having to get things in the mail. I'm still at it but after that I'll be "hitting the trail"!

Diane - the image of the snow globe but with leaves was the perfect way to describe your walk - I can imagine it perfectly, down to smelling the earthy tones. Vibrant colors in your collages! And congratulations on your owl sighting! I was outside yesterday collecting new greenery for my vases - green and red for the season. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

I so enjoyed my walk with you, the closeup of the owl is spectacular, I hear the owls when I walk but never see them! I also love to walk when a shower of leaves fall around me! Your place seemed so peaceful with only nature's voice being heard.
Thank you for sharing!
thank you for visiting and for your sweet comment.
Blessings,
Sue

Beloved and I have walked this trail (sometime last spring). You did an excellent job of showing us the beautiful leaves. Yes, Florida has seasons! They are just milder than the rest of the country.

That owl looks pretend, like a wood carving. Amazing. Truly!
