Sights around Blue Run Park

I know this is a super busy time for everyone so I'll be brief!

And share some of the beautiful nature scenes we saw on our last hike at Blue Run Park.

When we see families I ask to take photos. I told this young lady that she was the best dressed for an outing!

The Withlacoochee River

Turtles on the river!

Great Blue Heron

Great White Egret hiding in the ferns.

A pretty Warbler

We are seeing big flocks of all kinds of Warblers now!

Hermit Thrush

The Hermit Thrush was the biggest surprise of the day! He's not one of our regulars!

Marvin saw our great blue heron the other day at Grimmwood. It had been a while since he had visited. Love the pretty young lady all styled up for exercise. Maybe I would exercise more if I had that pretty outfit.:)

Even as a dedicated birder the girl in pink takes the prize today.

Lovely photos, Diane! And also saw your barred owl posts. My goodness, what luck! We only ever hear owls, and only at night. I consider that special. I can't imagine seeing one! I think I'd faint from joy! Happy Saturday!

Beautiful place. I wish my knee would hurry up and heal so that I can get out and do some hiking. We have had some perfect hiking weather here in Georgia. xo Laura
