Thankful for a MESS!

How can you be thankful for a MESS?

When it's on your architectural table in the craft/sewing room!

I've gotten my junk journal supplies out and I'm going to town.

A little template I use to make tags.

Save all the corners and scraps...they will come in handy!

This is a way to enjoy Autumn...my least favorite season! (I know I am in the minority here but bear with me)

I'm happy to have survived the summer months, aren't you? It's been difficult, to say the least. And I'm ready to start 'anew'!

I got out some of the junk journals I've made in the past. And 'drug' out Fall colored paper. I even put a new blade in my cutter! YAY!

My desk doesn't look like this yet but give me a day or two and it will.

Are you ready for Fall crafting or decorating?

I'll play inside today so that I can hike tomorrow!

Enjoy your day! Do something FUN today!

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays and

I like Thursdays HERE too!

I have on my list to start making my Christmas cards. Got a new punch (a moose), new papers, new embossing folder and new stamps. Now just need to carve out the time.

Girl, you are so talented! Very pretty. I am ready for something....a freshness in life from all the mundane. But...God is good. Hug and blessings, Cindy

Your least favorite season...there's a reason...what, pray tell, is it? Your art and craft work is lovely.

Hello,

I enjoyed seeing your craft table, I wish I was more crafty and talented. Your tags, scrapbooking materials and journals are pretty. I like the fall weather, it is cooler less humid. Pretty shot of the skipper. Take care, enjoy your day!

Your junk journals are very cute. I'm not much of a crafter. I think part of the reason is that I can only handle the mess for a short time until it gets on my nerves :). Now the decorating is another story. That I find to be fun.

Raining here today, so its a good day to do stuff inside. I am cooking homemade vegetable soup. I think the reason I like Fall so much is that it is such a relief after the (seemingly) endless heat and humidity of Summer! But actually, Spring is my favorite season
Have a blessed day!

Yay, I'm glad you finally pulled out your junk journal supplies! I was really into it all year but I've lost my mojo now. Have fun with it! :)

There's no such thing as a messy craft table. That stuff is all precious. And necessary. As my mother always used to say -- "If you don't believe me, ask me and I'll tell you." If crafts can get messy, then I'm the Queen of Messes. Have fun with your crafts, hugs, Edna B.

Looks like you're going to be having some fun - I'm loving all those papers you have. Fall and spring are my favourite but they're also the two seasons that are getting shorter year by year in our neck of the woods.

I love all your autumn journaling scraps and ephemera! I love scraps of things in general and it's so fun to put them all together into something cool. I got out my fall quilts and wall-hangings this week and that got me in the mood :)

I don't do any crafting, so I guess, my decorating, is all I do. Along these lines.

But I do love everything about Autumn, so I don't need to *endure* it. ~gigggles~

But then, I live in the NE, where Autumn is gorrrrrgeous. Me'thinks where you live, has something to do, with not really enjoying Fall. But it doesn't matter why. It is simply not your choice. To which you are totally entitled!!!!!!!! :-)

Your junk journals are lovely and what fun it must be to work on them! Thanks for sharing! Fall doesn't mean much to me, here in Florida, so I am kind of with you on that. We don't have those beautiful colors and the temps haven't changed much. It does begin to be less humid which is always good... especially for you to go hiking! Find some fun things for us on your next adventure outside!

I think you have inspired be to become a paper crafter with this post.

Hi Diane, My computer Guru just left, and I am all set for a while! Lovely Butterflies, and those pretty journals are priceless! You have such nice hobbies, and an eye for putting things together! I saw Wendy with her cute mask on! I hope you have a nice weekend of hiking so I can enjoy your new finds. Love, Aunt Helen

I love a busy crowded messy craft table. Things fall on each other creating new collages... yours are gorgeous. I do love fall, and if the temps will just get a bit cooler it will feel like fall here. And the smoke clears we'll see sky... it's been a long time... your photos are very pretty Keep making!

I am kinda with you on fall being my least favorite time too--have never really known why--I love sunflowers, black eyed susans and pumpkins--sooo??? and fall leaves up north are pretty--I dislike the cold alot--so when in NY I could say that was part of the dislike--but here in Fl--still don't like it--guess it means way too much work--with fall comes all the holidays--and really no family anymore to even help make it better--
I love love that last photo of the moth/butterfly--
luv, di

I just answered your email where you said you were getting stuff out and I replied that I hoped you shared it because I would love to see and look, here you have it. Everything looks amazing. I'm hoping that Saturday I can find some time to play in the craft room.

I love tag journals! I want to see more of your finished journals. ;P I am ready to tackle a couple of projects, yes! And I am very happy about the cooler weather, so it is inspiring me to decorate for fall (I don't have a single pumpkin out yet!)

well girlfriend if THAT'S a mess....you have the prettiest mess of anyone I ever did see! ha ha LOL. I haven't done any crafting at all...I've been so focused on changing and re-arranging rooms around, getting cozy for Fall/winter, putting up our Fall decor, hanging fairy Fall lights, doing the annual put the summer clothes and get out the winter things big closet change out.Refreshing furry blankets and throws, putting fresh batteries on our battery candles, finding MY BOOTS!!! ha ha, LOL! Old and worn out, but seen so many adventures with us...I will buy a new pair this week "for nice" and nicer occasions, but my trusty old comfortable broken in boots are glad to be trekking the city streets once again! Hugs!

I enjoyed seeing your Autumn things and especially those old readers. I get very nostalgic when I see them...my childhood time from the look of the illustrations. How I used to love these poems and pictures.
Meanwhile, it seems you had a lot of fun with your journal making. What a creative process goes into making up the pages and finding and placing just the right doodad here and there.
It is all such good stuff.
A flock of robins, 20 or so have been hanging around the garden for two days now...getting ready for their Travel Time I think. :)

I've always wanted a craft room. How nice that you have one to create wonderful things. Loved seeing all your Fall goodies, and that first picture is so pretty. I noticed your sweet little doll on your desk - how cute is that? Keep creating, Diane. It's such a good and fun thing to do during this time.
