Always changing!

We can always count on things changing. We might hope that everything will get better as the years go by and some things do. But one thing for sure, be prepared for things to change.

I like the change in seasons. Even though I complain about the heat and humidity, I love the long summer days and bright Florida sunshine. I even like the pop up rain showers we have at this time of year.

Rain showers bring flowers!

There's always something blooming here, year round. And these Virginia Creeper leaves were even colorful.

Oh and speaking of changes. We lost a big beautiful tree in our neighborhood this week.

The view from my front door.

I'll share some mosaics!

My friend needed a spot to put down her cup of tea! lol

But you know what? We stood outside with our neighbors and watched in wonder at the great job the tree crew did and our friends talked about what kind of tree they want to plant to replace it. So it's all good!

Do you see the one yellow flower in the forest?
Look closely....there's only one!

Hope you see the silver lining in every cloud...well, in most of them anyway! Life goes on!

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

Also I like Thursdays HERE.

Oh, it's always sad to see a tree come down, especially an old one that we loved. I hope you like the new tree that will be planted, and it brings you years of joy when you look out your window. That's a cute picture of your friend's tea cup in the mailbox hehehe. Yes, I see the one yellow flower in the forest. What a beautiful photo, I love that one.

Have a blessed week, Diane.

Removing tall trees is wonderful to watch the process like a kid watching a bulldozer. I wish more folks realize how dangerous they can be close to dwellings.

Very true, Diane! Life is ever-changing and we have to accept some bumps along the way that we hope will help us grow.
Your neighbors' tree was so large! I hope they find a good replacement that will give them new years of joy.
The book I reviewed said not to feel guilty if we have things we enjoy, only if they bring us stress and cause us to lose sight of the more important things in life. I have collections I could not part with right now (lots of baking pans for one), but I can see the day I won't need them as much and I'll make sure to donate them somewhere. :)

I love the heart on the tree. Isn't it fascinating to watch tree crews? Not my kind of job to do but intriguing to watch.

ps.....that heart tree is so cool. ; )

Hello,

Sorry the big tree had to come down, I worry about some of the trees we have close to our home. They can be scary when they are taller than the houses. The yellow flower photo is pretty. Take care, have a happy new week!

Sorry the tree was lost but glad they are planning to replace it. I love that single flower in the last photo - beautiful!

lol, what a nice post, even if it sad to see a great tree being cut down.
Yes, there are always changes. I see the lone flower and also a few beautiful cones. :)
Nice mosaics.
Take care!

I always loved the trees on our property until the tornado (we lost 14 of them, and only one fell on our home) so now I'm ok with fewer trees (enjoying them from a distance)...

Hopefully she will replace it with something small and pretty!

Love the photos (always!) and that your neighbor found a place to set her cup down! Ingenious convenience!

Beautiful photos and mosaics! It looks like the tree was planted too close to the house. When we moved into our house years ago we had to remove a few things that had been planted too close to the house.

Yes, indeed. Things are always changing. It keeps me busy for sure and I enjoy it as much as you!!...jp (Although Virginia Creeper is not my BFF up here...it's too invasive.)

Yes, nothing stays the same for very long. I enjoy the change of seasons, too. We're in the midst of a "heat dome" and it's so very HOT. 37 C (98.6F) So sad to see a tree go down, but it's great to think about what to plant in its place. Stay cool!

Change has always been hard for me but I'll learning to appreciate it a bit more. Your mosaics are wonderful as always

I enjoyed your post..life is always changing, nature is always changing and we can be grumpy about it or as you share.. find that silver lining. Great advice today my friend, thank you.

My son, had a flat tire this week. And even with that we found a silver lining.
Love, Carla

So sad to see the tree come down, but I am sure it must have become dangerous one way or the other, and hurricane season is upon us. So safety first...and I'm glad they are thinking of planting a new tree. Maybe a holly tree! They stay green year round and get such lovely red berries for the birds to enjoy! And they don't get so huge that they become so dangerous. I wish I could plant holly trees everywhere...I believe they are my new favorite tree!! Loved your pictures, and that one yellow daisy type flower in the woods...some bird must have dropped its seed there...Amazing how God's nature world is always planting and growing and blessing. Have a wonderful day.

Was there a reason to remove that wonderful old tree? It looks healthy enough, and no doubt supported thousands, if not millions, of organisms.

Yes, I can agree, the Chance of the seasons are okay and each has his own Charme. The Chance made by the human in the other side is difficult and dangerous, I believe.

Thank you for this interesting thoughts, sharing your opinion.

Happy MosaicMonday

It's always sad to lose a tree. But I'm glad they'll replace it. And those tree crews are amazing, aren't they? They make quick work of even the biggest tree! Happy Tuesday, Diane!

It is always sad to see an old tree come down. Good to know a new one will be planted in it's place.

Bill would have loved your view -- he likes watching work in progress! (Sidewalk superintendenting, LOL)..... That yellow flower in the forest is trying very hard to be different! Brave little thing. .....! Having A/C is my silver lining this week! I think it's been hotter here in Oregon than it has been for you.

Diane - so sad to see a tree come down, especially one that seemed so healthy. I have tried to learn to let go of this sort of thing, since it is clearly out of my control ... every day is another opportunity to adapt to change! Thanks for the reminder in such a practical way. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

oooooh i love the heart, for me i suspect!!! too bad about that beautiful tree!!

Oh yes, I see the heart in the bark of the tree in the first collage, the yellow flower, the silver lining ... But it still makes me sad when such a big tree has to be felled. Was he sick or dangerous? Now it takes a long time again until the new tree is so beautiful and big and providing shade ...
Have a good start to July!
All the best, Traude

"I'm late, I'm late, to see a blog post that's GREAT!" Yes, look for that silver lining! I'll even take a pewter lining! I wonder if that big tree was getting its roots into the sewer system. They do that here if the piping is from the 1970's or before. I love that solitary yellow flower reaching for its share of the sunlight! So pretty.

Nope. Nope. Nope.
You couldn't pay me enough money to get up in that cherry picker or climb up in that tree. There isn't enough safety equipment in the world to convince me to do it.
Nope. Nope. Nope.

You’re such a positive snd lovely friend in the blogging community, Diane!
I loved seeing the birds in your previous post. You sure have so much beauty in Florida. I’m sitting outside right now in front of my bird feeder, waiting for some birds to drop by. Happy 4th of July weekend ❤️🇺🇸💙

I see the yellow flower and the huge pine cones (?). They are really big, if I were there I would collect and paint them in gold and silver. Sad to see that old grand tree get chopped down but like you said, there are changes every day that we have to accept. Enjoyed your bird pixs in your last post too esp the wood pecker with scarlet head. Dropping in fr Malaysia and following you

Great shot of that woodpecker, by the way. Amazing red head. We have a tree pruner in the family and it is always amazing to watch how the process works to fell a large tree. He's done it twice for us. I'm glad your neighbours are going to replant. Meanwhile, enjoy your beautiful Florida sunshine!
