November in Mosaics (updated at the end)

It's been an exceptionally good month to hike and we've gotten out every chance we could.

I've taken so many photos that I thought I would do a post with 'November in mosaics'!

These are a few of the leftovers.

Warbler and water lily

Kestrel

Bench at the top

Birds and squirrel

Wildflowers

Bare trees at Halpata Tastanaki Preserve

Golf course behind our house and our Camellia bush in full bloom.

Interesting clouds

I hope it's been a good month for you too. It's not like Novembers in the past. Times change and we are constantly changing along with it. Look around and see what makes you happy and do more of that!

After I wrote this post, I had a call to tell me my mother had passed away. I wanted to share my favorite photo of my parents. My mother is pregnant with me and they were teenagers in this photo. (My mother turned 20 just before I was born.) I think they look very happy here.

So the month has ended on a sad note. I would appreciate your prayers. They are both gone now and I feel incredibly sad. I know you've all suffered losses and understand.
Thanks for your friendship always, Diane

My sincere condolences on your mother’s death, Diane, and what a happy couple your parents looked to be in that photo. It’s always sad to lose a family member, especially a parent and even harder at the holidays. My late mother passed before Christmas several years ago and I miss her even more at this time of year.

During our lives we create and share memories. You obviously have some wonderful recollections of you Mother. Your ability to share the memories you are making in Nature will continue to make her proud of such a daughter.

Gini and I send our prayers.

Sorry about your loss. It's been 13 years since I lost my mom and I still miss her and even think I want to tell her something but then I remember. We all face it but it's not easy. Hope you've had some comfort with the happy memories of her time with you.

I'm very late because I have been away from blogging for over a month -- but I know it is never too late to say I'm sorry. That is a wonderful picture -- your mom and dad both look so happy and you know they are thinking about all the happiness on the way (that would be you!). I'm so glad you have this picture -- the beginning of all of your wonderful family memories. Sending virtual hugs (never too late for those either).

Diane, after I received your comment I went back to your posts to see to what you were referring. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. It's so hard, isn't it? And I think even harder at the holidays in some ways, because of the memories of the past and those not to be. My heart is hurting for you now and prayers are coming your way at this very moment as your grieve this profound loss. Biggest hugs.
