Pumpkins or GOURDS? Which do you like best?

DSCN7608

I’ve gone to TWO pumpkin patches now

and seen some of the most unique pumpkins!

(I’ve posted a BUNCH of PUMPKIN pics already! lol)

DSCN7556

But I love the gourds best!

DSCN7561

I put together this little arrangement for the lanai.

DSCN7607

It’s nice and warm here in Florida

and this is where we spend most of our time!

DSCN7613

I bought all of these gourds at the pumpkin patch for $3, the crate from the Thrift store for a dime and the crow from Michael’s for less than $2! I used some packing material that I saved....so it cost me less than $5 to put this together.

In my world that’s thrifty AND a little bit of a WOW...

DSCN7612

finding ‘great buys’ so that I can get my decorating ‘fix’!

I’m linking to the Nifty Thrifty Tuesday party with Linda

and I’m joining Kim at Savvy Southern for WOW!

Do you love to decorate for Fall?

Pumpkins OR Gourds?

Your gourds look great! I love them both and it seems that the warty pumpkins did really well this year. Kind of a mixture of both:@)

I'm especially fond of that raven. He completes in vignette!

Who doesn't love a pumpkin? I think I love pumpkins best, but gourds are like the little whimsical playthings in the garden! Thanks for visiting, andrea@townandprairie

I have to go with pumpkins as my favorite but fall decorating isn't complete without those fun gourds. Your pictures are great! And your lanai looks so warm and inviting.

Love your vignette and pumpkin photos. I love both but I guess I would always choose a pumpkin, nice and big and orange! xp

We have a picnic basket full of gourds on the front porch right now. But I guess the 20+ pumpkins waiting to be carved for our big party win the honors. Your centerpiece is lovely.

Love your gourds, Diane. Not sure which I like better; they're both pretty and the epitome of autumn - my favorite time of year!

I want to thank you for the sweet visit today. You said the nicest things about my baby shoe and I really appreciate it.
Now for the pumpkins or gourds? I think I would have to say, both! I haven't seem some of the gourds you have pictured and have to admit, I don't think I could possibly make up my mind. The uglier the better. I love the one you picked that has all the growths on it, wow, that is perfect.
Your porch looks so inviting and nice. Your decorations are just perfect.
Thanks again for stopping by,
Char

Gourds last forever! Even when you think they are old and moldy....just wait and let them dry out. Scrub off the mold and there is your beautiful gourd! A little paint and it is like new again.
