Mickey and Minnie were so pleased that Opal got a new dress and some ‘mouse ears’!
And I was thrilled to meet a sweet lady at a neighborhood craft fair who makes the most adorable doll clothes.
My doll Opal is a My Life doll from Walmart.
And isn’t this dress just made for her?
I put a few things around her for the photo shoot…
including my stack of old Nancy Drew books, old Zoo themed tins and my antique gum ball machine.
This gum ball machine is glass and heavy metal and one of my favorite thrift store finds.
I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,
Ivy and Elephants HERE
and Roses of Inspiration.
And don’t forget to
Take time to PLAY!!!

Hi Diane!
Opal looks so pretty in her dress. With her dress, ears and shoes, she is ready to join the Disney Parade in Disney world.
Lucky are you to have a lovely lady who makes beautiful dolls' clothes in your neighbourhood.
Are you going to fill the gumballl machine with gumballs?
Thanks for sharing those photos with us.
Hugs, Arlette
Morning, adorable, can't beat vintage. Blessings Francine.
Totally precious Diane! Can I come play at your house?
Too cute! That woman makes nice things!! Love your display too. You have a knack for sure!
Opal looks ready for her day at Disney World. So cute.
How cute that Minnie Mouse outfit is on your beautiful Opal! Those Nancy Drew books brought me right back to the years my sisters and I spent a good part of our summer reading them.
I loved seeing that you, too, were a winner at the primitive folk art site and are receiving some charming hand made gifts too!
Diane, I love Opal in the vignette with all those sweet items. She is perfect in that red dress. I love the smile on the doll clothes maker's face. You can tell she is loving it. xoxo,Susie
Ahh she looks adorable. Minnie and circus...two of my favorites.
Oh Miss Opal is just darling!!! She is ready for a Disneyland Adventure for sure. I love that she has the same polka dot dress, sometimes special fabrics like that are hard to find. What a treasure to find someone in your neighborhood that makes the cute clothes. Does she have dolls too? You could get together and play and the dolls could visit.
I'm off to sew Valentine Aprons - and sunsuits - and garden aprons - hope your day is as much fun.
what a great photo shoot for all involved!!
liked the bus, LOVED the gumball machine!! i wonder if you could fill it up....if it works?? that's a great find!!!
Hi Diane
Opal is just gorgeous - I love her red and white polka dot dress!
You have such a marvellous collection of old childhood toys - you could have an exhibition!
Lovely to meet up again at Stephanie's party!

Very cute doll-sized Minnie ears! My daughter loved Minnie Mouse when we visited Disneyworld. She thought Minnie was a real live mouse! Why are there no gumballs in your gumball machine.
Diane,
I just love all of these photos! What a great photo shoot! I absolutely love your animal cracker tins, gumball machine and your doll. She looks fabulous in her new Minnie outfit!

I love the bubble gum machine. My boys would love one too, I will have to be looking for one. My luck at the thrift store has been pretty good lately, so you never know! :-))
So cute!! I used to have that same gum ball machine when my girls were little, but it got bumped over and broke one day when the they were playing.

Well, if she isn't just adorable in her dress and ears! I love it, my friend :) Thanks for sharing at Roses of Inspiration. Hugs!
With a 2 1/2 year old granddaughter and her little sister of nearly 3 months, I imagine that dolls and doll clothes will be playing a large part in my life as a grandmother searching or birthday and Christmas gifts from now on. After all, with 4 grown grandsons, it's about time!
How adorable! Love her dress and ears, and that gumball machine is a treasure.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Hugs,
Patti
She is standing right in the middle of a darling vignette. :) Love her little dress.
