Always something unusual at the ‘Springs’!

We drove over to Rainbow Springs State Park one day and got closer to a juvenile Anhinga than we’ve ever been! (probably 10 or 12 feet away!!!)

AnhingFrameIMG_4950

He kept posing and I kept taking photos!

AnhIMG_4966

It was the highlight of our day!

I took this photo of the Rainbow River and cropped it for my banner.

RiverIMG_4915

And my new profile pic was taken that day, too!

I discussed profile pics HERE! lol

It’s a beautiful place to visit and the cost? $2 ! You can’t get any better than that! (well, we have annual passes so we get in free!)

I remember going to Rainbow Springs when I was a kid! We would visit my grandparents in Bascom (a blink-your-eyes-and-miss-it town almost in Georgia!) every summer and also take a side trip somewhere. The bird is pretty impressive, and I like your banner!

What a neat bird. We don't have those here that I'm aware of. You're more likely to see a mockingbird or hawk...or buzzard here.

Diane said...

No-- never saw one either. How cool! I hadn't noticed its webbed feet until you pointed that out. Very interesting!

I think it would be fun to get into one of those kayaks and go for a paddle.

Hi there namemate! Thank you for forever linking up in my Beautiful Sunday series :)

If I were in your shoes, I would say that this is one of the best ways to spend your $ 2. The entire experience was so worth it! The star was Anhinga never posted any form of shyness :)

Aside from the relaxing environment, I was attracted with the kayak! How I wish I could kayak today. I badly needed that exercise along with a great trip to nature.

Wishing you a great week namemate!
