Florida Mosaic

Subtitled : What a difference a ‘crop’ can make.

FLMosaic

The mosaic features the uncropped photos.

Do you ‘crop’?

Just a little crop and then maybe some sharpening and your photo can take on an altogether different look. So now, I’ll take all of the photos in the mosaic and crop them.

My hubby may like this one but I liked it better after it was cropped.

I could title it, Don’t bother me, I’m shell seeking!

And could you see this gyrocopter in the ‘uncropped’ sky

airIMG_9119

or the tortoise’s eye?

tortcropIMG_9128

How about the dolphin in the water

or the pelicans flying low over the ocean?

Makes you want to go fishing, doesn’t it?

Cropping "does" have its advantages, doesn't it? Nice work.

Very nice of you to share sunny skies and beach scenes in your mosaic.
I do crop, to get rid of background noise and to bring something in closer.

I do crop images some times, especially if I just want to focus on one particular thing.
Lovely beach scenes ... makes me want to walk in the sand and water.

I do crop photos for the same reasons you do.

So lovely to see the sun, waves and beaches as we are knee deep and higher in snow.

Makes me realize how little we actually see at first glance. Have a nice Sunday! xo

Lovely! It's like life, we might miss something beautifully small if we only look at the big picture.

These are a few of the blessings of living in California and Florida. So far away from eachother but yet We experience beautiful weather even in winter :) One of My favorite things to do is shell and pebble hunt along the coast. So fun and relaxing, isn't it? Hugs to You My friend-Denise

I always crop my photos, usually to tidy up the shot and take out distractions that lead your eye away from the main focus of the shot. So handy. Your beach photos are so intense with the blue sky ... and so warm!!!! Wendy x

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

Fishing? Yucky, but I sure could go for some of Dad's famous fresh, homemade crab cakes. We haven't found fresh lump crab here in the mountains yet, but we will.

Now I'm hungry!

Hugs,
Prudence ♥

It looks so sunny and warm there on the beach. Sigh…. I crop once in a while but mostly use the whole picture. Have a great week!

To crop or not to crop that is the question. Anyone who has visited my blog lately knows that I love a good cropping. =D Thanks for pointing out all those excellent reasons for doing so. I would have missed a lot. Glad that the weather is fine and that you're feeling well enough to enjoy it!

I LOVE the cropped version with the fishing rods. You are amazing. (Sorry I haven't dropped by for awhile. Life got in the way and I stopped visiting my favourite bloggers for a time.) Enjoy your Sunday in FL.

Your photos are lovely. Makes me want to go to the beach and bring along a picnic lunch. Yes I agree that cropping allows for the detail in a photo to shine.

Cropping can make an incredible difference in the feel a photo gives. It's pretty fun to play with cropping. I'm rather challenged when it comes to technical tasks but I've got cropping down pat!

Looks like you're really learning a lot from this photo challenge. Cropping is a very useful tool that can certainly take an ordinary pic to extraordinary.

I'm envious of the beach that is so close to you!

My photography mentor gave me an assignment this week, to edit a photo and make 4 crops from the one. Interesting exercise. Have a lovely week. Jen

Oh, it looks warm there! I trim a few of my photos, usually after distortion control. But I don't do a tight crop very often. It makes sense to crop to make a composition more pleasing!

Amazing what you can see when you crop! Never noticed the dolphin, how cool is that! Hope you are feeling better Diane.

Ahhhh, our beautiful playground. Thank you for sharing, friend. I rarely crop but it does come in handy for blogging at times.
Stopped by to say hello and to see what books you're up to these days. I joined a local group for film and book lovers. You know I'm more the film type, but could sure use a good book these days.
Off to catch up with your posts.

Hi namemate! Firs to all sorry for the super late comment and visit. Work has been crazy and my laziness is attacking me as well hahaha

You really have beautiful and priceless photos here. In the middle of all the workload I have here, it would really be nice to have a short vacay in the refreshing view of the beach.

Have a great Sunday!
