“Point and Shoot”

I complain about my camera sometimes but then I come home from the Park with photos like these!

Sholomrosesmosaic

This one I took when we were walking. I barely slowed down, just turned and took the photo.

ParkIMG_0548

I love the way the Crepe Myrtle trees are turning orange in the background.

(and yes, it’s still green in January here in Florida and my little camera is an Canon S100)

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday,

Seasonal Sundays,

Sundays in my City,

Mosaic Monday,

and Amaze me Monday!

I hope everyone is safe and staying warm in their homes this weekend.

I’m feeling a lot better, thanks for caring.

How are you faring with this latest storm?

Glad that you are feeling better. It snowed most of the day yesterday. At 6:30 am, my iPhone says that it is cloudy at 9 degrees. More snow on the way, which is a good thing because we need the moisture. Your photos are awesome. Your little camera is perfect for taking wlmong on walks and you get great results.

Oh good to know that you are feeling better. I love that beautiful, perfectly framed shot of the trees. The storm comes in tonight with freezing rain through Monday. I can see two grandsons for the day tomorrow!

That last photo is beautiful! I used to have a horrible little camera when I was a kid, but I loved taking photos and "finding" a good shot. There was no photo editing then, and I had no special features on my very simple camera. I look back at some of those old photos of mine and they still look pretty good to me. But it's often just the composition of the shot itself that makes a good photo, and not necessarily an expensive camera.

OH- I am so so so jealous. We are growing icicles here and the only orange is really red-and that is blooming on our noses and cheeks. A great day to stay inside and do nothing. GREAT pictures, Diane- xo Diana

I think you have the best weather along with California. It is raining and cold here and I worked on a table outside yesterday and nearly froze. Your camera does fine.

Hi Diane,
So glad your feeling much better. Beautiful photos. Still feeling a little sad that our Cowboys ended their season. Oh well, like the old saying goes - "wait until next year". LOL only problem is that we have been waiting for that year a long time!

Take care and a very happy New Year to you and Mr. Lavender!

hugs,
Pat

Gorgeous! Especially love the shot of your tree. We already have 100s of schools closed for Monday with this latest blizzard and bitter temps. The girls aren't complaining. Break just keeps going and going and going!

Oh...how I would love to see flowers right now. We had a little snow overnight and then the rain came...lots of it. Here soon it is going back to snow for overnight and then the wind-chills will be -30 to -40 tomorrow. Brrrr.... I'm staying inside all day tomorrow!!!
