Christmas in July…or any time!

I love finding vintage Christmas items at the thrift store. Right now the Christmas aisle is LOADED!

I have to be careful not to bring home too much.

But when we bought bookcases for our living room and library, I made one shelf for Christmas books.

So these beautiful Santa Christmas candles looked perfect placed on the shelf.

And then another day, I found this set of nesting Snowmen.

(I have all of the Janet Evanovich books except some of the newer ones and #6. I don’t know why I can’t find that one!)

Better stop there for now! lol

I’m joining Amaze me Monday

Make it Pretty Monday and

Brenda for Tweak it Tuesday

and Ivy and Elephants.

Have you found anything fun this week?

Cute! I have a collection of Christmas picture books. Each year I would look for one special book that reflected the real meaning of Christmas. They're getting harder to find. I'll have to check the thrift store this week!

Good Morning! I love your Christmas finds; they look wonderful grouped with your books. Have you looked on half.com for the JE book?

I collect little snowmen, and I have never seen nesting ones. You just find the greatest stuff. Perhaps a Hobby the Christmas in July display. I am hardly in the mood, but if you find it, you'd better grab it. A dollhouse in your future?

Christmas books are so nice to flip through come December. My thrifts don't do "Christmas in July." :(

Mercifully no, I need to purge again before I can gather. You always find the sweetest things! It's so cool here today that's it's easy to believe that it is Christmas in July.

What a great collection you have. I too love to buy books and my grands love it when Nana puts new books for them in the play room. Yes, Christmas items out in the Thrift stores. I stopped at a yard sale recently that had one whole table with Christmas. Didn't see anything that caught my eye (My husband was shocked, ha!). Have a great day. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I'm trying to avoid the Christmas stuff in the thrifts, I'm trying to downsize...LOL!! Love your shelf of just Christmas books! I have read all of The Stephanie Plum books but the newest one and have stated buying them in paperback to re-read one of these days. I'll look for #6 for you, do you want hardback or paperback?

Linda

Oh Diane, I love the fact that you have one shelf set aside for Christmas books. I have all my Christmas movies in one place, but what a wonderful idea to have an organized section for Christmas books. Your vintage Santas are darling.

love,

Christmas in July!!! They are already gearing up for that here in Santa Cruz. The one fabric shop has the Christmas fabric, and patterns ready to go. I love your collection of books and the way you always display so beautifully. Have a great week and enjoy your trips to the thrift shops. Hugs from me.

I have a small collection of Christmas books too, but I only bring them out on display in December. Um, do you know you have two copies of a Christmas book there? "Christmas" by Susan Branch ... is there something more you'd like to confess here, hmmm?? Maybe a little addiction problem in the booky sense? Well, enjoy your evening :) Wendy x

It's nice that you have the room to leave them out all year long. Now you can enjoy them any time of the year.

I got rid of so many Christmas decorations when we moved in April. It kinda broke my heart because they were so beautiful, but I had to be practical.

Our thrifts don't do Christmas in July. Cute concept!
