Sewing Projects “Big and Small”

I have had such fun making animals and dolls that I had to MAKE myself go back to a project I started a couple of months ago.

I made one pillow cover out of the fabric I got at the thrift store. It was the last project I did on my Bernina and it was ‘acting up’ while I was sewing.

Now I have a new Brother sewing machine and have been sewing up a storm.

So I finally made the second pillow cover.

When I sat down in my recliner to load the photos on my computer, this was my view.

They look nice, I think.

Lots of ‘smaller’ projects to share soon!

That fabric is so pretty with your red couch! We have a red couch upstairs. Still love it!

The look perfect with your sofa and the floral pillows really make everything "pop." :) So glad you are sewing up a storm again. My sewing machine has been acting wild and crazy for several months so I think I had better take it in to be serviced.

Have a lovely day, friend!

The pillows look great, Diane. I'm glad you mentioned your new sewing machine....I've been thinking about buying a new one since I got my old one as a high school graduation present (that would be decades ago if you're wondering!) I'll have to check into Brother.

Very pretty. That's one thing I can sew, pillow covers :) I love your Alice in Wonderland header. How fun. Thanks for leaving the link to the dollhouse blog. I'm going to love visiting there. Blessings

I do wish you would create a doll blog, that would be great!

Looks really good - I like the flowered pillows with your red sofa! (This is my one-day-a-week posting and commenting). Hope you stick with me. I find I'm getting more done on other projects when I don't blog everyday.

Pretty pillows! I need to get back to do some sewing in my studio room, now that Jim is doing better and doesn't need constant attention.

The pillows look great, but I am completely wild for your header. This is the first time I've seen it and I may have to do something for the magical kingdom of Buttercupland.

Love your pillows...they are so pretty!! I have some pillows on my sofa that look a lot like yours, but mine have a different kind of red flower on them. My big embroidery machine is a Brother....they are a good machine. My sewing machine is a Pfaff...and I love it too. I used to work at a sewing shop and Pfaff is what we sold back then, but now the shop sells several brands. Sometimes I miss working there. Loved teaching the classes.
Happy Sewing!!

You did a nice job on the pillows, Diane. I really like your red couch. I have always had neutral colors in my couches, but the next one is going to be floral or something with a bit of color. I can't wait.

I hope you are enjoying the Florida summer days.

love,

They're very pretty, Diane, love the fabric; they brighten up the deep red solid of the sofas, which btw, from what I can gather, is exactly the same colour as my sofas!
Great job! Happy weekend!
