Hey, did you notice?
I misspelled a word in my title!
(Never say Never! haha!)
When I get back home after being gone for over a month, I clean. I go crazy cleaning and organizing and finding a place for my ‘latest acquisitions’!
I saved the printer’s tray for my ‘reward’. I love getting my seashells out to sort. So I had fun putting some into the printer’s tray I bought at New Visions…HERE!
We have a really big coffee table in our living room because we needed something to balance the space between 2 red sofas.
So this large printer’s tray is perfect! And I have to keep things low because we use remotes for all of the electronics below the tv.
I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,
Ivy and Elephants HERE
Vintage Bliss Tuesdays HERE
and Tweak it Tuesday!
I mixed in some sea glass AND some of the tiny ‘found’ objects from our walks on Canaveral National Seashore.
We could make a game of this!
Can you find the…
- beer bottle caps
- the ice cream spoon
- the Army man
- Lincoln head penny
- glass bottle
- or other interesting objects?

Well that is just perfect! I love your two red couches and the red gourds up on the shelves too.
This is so interesting as a conversation starter.Company will love it.It looks elegantly perfect sitting on that table. You were very smart and brave to arrange two sofas facing each other even though it's in the TV room. I've wanted to do that forever but I don't My Husband will go for it.You must have two recliners or chairs facing the TV too I bet?Hugs Your way-Denise
Ok Diane, I am totally coveting that tray! I loved playing I SPY with the tray too!!
This is awesome! I love the printer's tray and your amazing collection. It's so lovely. Thanks so much for linking up at Vintage Bliss Tuesdays! Jo
How fun to have a little eye-spy this morning! Your tray is perfect for your shell collection.
Love the painters tray! I love playing I spy! Used to play it all the time with my kids...when they were little. Thanks for the great post....
That looks FAB! My printers tray is all finished being stained and I need to bring it in and fill it.
Loving your whole living room. The coffee table is perfect and the shells show off so nicely on it.
Hugs,
Deb
Okay, as soon as I read the title I just HAD to click over again today. LOVE your shell collection, and they look beautiful displayed in that gorgeous printer's tray. While visiting our favorite thrift shop last month, I noticed a table that had the perfect collector's display top, and I cannot believe I did not grab it when I had the chance. I think that was the weekend I found our antique hall tree so I was a little distracted. ;)
There's a shop in Sanibel Island called She Sells Seashells. GORGEOUS! Visit if you haven't.
xoxo
Looks great! The (mostly) light colors of the shells stand out nicely against the old wood.
good morning-I love how you displayed all your found treasures-good memories too when you view them-hugs
What a great idea for your printers tray. A perfect Florida display. xo Laura
I love it. A beautiful way to display your beach treasures. Hey, I can't say it, let alone spell it. Lol.
Hi Diane,
I really love your shell collection! Oh how I love the beach and collecting them at my mom beach too. Have a wonderful day.
Julie
Wow! That looks great! You have a nice collection of seashells! Good idea to use the tray like that! :)
I found them all.
What a fun way to display your shells. Our dog would eat each of them if we left them out like that so most of ours on in glass displays.
I was envious of you finding this printers tray and now I'm gobsmacked! LOVE it with shells and beach treasures! How fun is this! Happy to be home? Hugs to you Sis!

What a perfect way to display those lovely shells of yours! I love the two red couches facing each other too :)
That turned out so well! It is fun to see how you incorporated it into your decor.
I did find the objects.....This is certainly a very interesting conversation piece for your family room. Very neat. I made mistakes all the time in my post and sometimes I don't even notice them until weeks later....lol..
Diane, I love it that you put in those extra little objects! Kinda like Where's Waldo. I found three of those printers' trays a week ago but didn't get them. I should have. They were $21 each and I didn't know if I would use them. Now that I see it used on your coffee table, I'm kinda wishing I'd brought one home. :-)
What a great way to display your shells!
Kim
Oh they all look so beautiful!I am glad to see the sea glass! AriadnefromGreece!
What an awesome and lovely display!! Love all your pretty shells, they just look perfect in there! And what a fun "I spy" at the end!! lol :) xo Holly
This is really neat Diane. I mean it's really unique, fun, different, interesting and 'cool'. :) Hubby found a box of seashells in his mother's attic. There are hundreds of all sizes. I kept a handful of interesting ones and the rest are going to the thrift store. I don't need them! I don't even know where she got them all! Your collection makes a great conversation piece.
Such a wonderful shell collection, love the display you did with them too. Blessings Francine.
Thanks for stopping by at my blog.
What a neat idea. I remember a vintage printer tray at the thrift store that I left behind because I did not know what to do with it. And my seashell collection are the large-sizes like the conch. Your collection is beautiful.

I love your printer's tray! You've put it to good use as a showpiece filled with all those gorgeous shells! Love the red couches too- I have always wanted to add red to my living room, but have never found the perfect piece for it. Ok I think I am caught up now!
I'm going to the beach for 10 days in October and I'm hoping to find lots of sea shells down by the sea shore. Your display is great.
How much fun! I bet everyone comes in and plays with the stuff in the printer's tray. Great idea!!! Let me know if you have a difficult time finding Daphne's Diary. I love that magazine so much! I just picked-up the latest copy a couple of days ago.

Diane,
I'm so glad I got to see what you used your tray for - seashells! What a unique and wonderful collection. Every time I see your room with the red couches I smile because I love red, and they look so nice.
Have a sweet September week.

~Sheri
Love this. It is perfect for the tiny shells. I have two printers trays here-somewhere.
I love the way you surround yourself with the things you love, using them as decorative pieces, instead of hiding them away in closets!
What a wonderful project - I adore how it turned out and what fun to have it right there on the coffee table to enjoy!
I just LOVE this! So pretty and interesting, perfect on the coffetable.

Patti
