These two willets were so much fun to watch and photograph.
According to the website HERE, they are breeding adults.
They are considered at risk due to continued habitat loss.
It was amazing to get so close.
I am still on the mend.
Thanks for your sweet comments!
I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE.

Hello Diane, I am glad you are on the mend. Cute shots of the sweet Willets. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
Beautiful birds. Are you getting lots of reading done? Can you sew while mending? I hope you're not in any pain but healing wonderfully. Happy Mother's Day...great time for breakfast in bed! LOL!
Sorry that they are endangered..always nice to see them along the beach.
Diane, It looks as if the willets are building a sand castle. :):) You do get to see some wonderful shore birds. Hope you are feeling much better. Blessings to you for a happy mother's day. xoxo,Susie
Diane, it does take longer to heal when we get a ummmm a little bit older.
I've noticed that it takes me longer now then when I was young and bouncy. And you took a huge and traumatic fall, a super big ouch.
Here's to you being able to smile like normal as soon as possible.

Yay for being on the mend! Hope that you've been able to get out some! Course the jokes about spousal abuse get old. Take good care and keep mending.
