We were out on a Sunday drive a couple of weeks ago and turned the corner in Dunnellon to see this!
I’ve taken lots of photos of the ‘Blues Brothers’.
But we still pulled over for a few more pics!
The America White Ibis !!!
Putting on a show just for us!
Which way should we go?
Follow me!
We gotta FLY!
I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and
Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday
and Amaze me Monday.
Update : I’m still not able to ‘dance’ but I’m healing and feeling better each day. I still won’t be taking any profile pics for awhile. (how long does a blue nose and a black eye last?) And don’t even THINK about making me laugh, it hurts too much.
Thank you my friends for all of your concern and good wishes and especially for the prayers. What wonderful friends I have. I am truly blessed.

Miss Lavender Dreams, good morning. I hope you had a restful night. Why not stay in your jammies this morning and lay on the sofa and watch a movie.
Please rest and know that I love you (Mom too).
Hugs,
Prudence
Wendy, take good care of your Mom.
Oh I think you should definitely document then take an "all better now" pic to prove that you are. I've been thinking about "falls" since yours. We've had some in the family this weekend, too. They happen so fast and out of the blue. That Blues Brothers sculpture is so joyful! Heal quickly, my friend.
Glad you're feeling better. Take it easy for awhile.
They filmed one of the car chase scenes not far from my house and I went and watched them film it. Got to see Belushi and Aykroyd up close. It was fun to see.
I enjoyed your post and the beautiful ibis! Hope you are feeling 100% very soon, Diane.
What a fun statue of the blues brothers! Those ibis are such odd birds with their curved beaks. Hope your healing continues without a hitch. Take care!
Fun photos/mosaics this a.m. I have been keeping you in my prayers. Take it easy and feel much better soon. xo
Diane, when I saw your blog title, I thought it might refer to the pain meds you may find yourself taking!!lol I say from experience that it took over a week for me to feel comfortable being in public after my fall. You might want to visit your dentist as when I face planted it jarred my teeth, fortunately, I did not require any root canals which my dentist informed me could have happened.
Love that movie! Neat pictures! Glad you're feeling a little better.
Morning, you are always visiting the neatest places, thanks for sharing.Blessings Francine.
Oh no! I haven't been around much and it looks like I missed something. What did you do to yourself?
It's worse when it goes through the yellow
stage! I almost did the same thing at a
bazaar Sat. I tripped over a stump but
lucky me there was a man standing there
playing with his phone and he caught me.
I apologized profusely and he said that
he was glad to be there. Whew! My
hands were full of purchases so it could
have been bad.
Get well soon Diane! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Love the Blues Brothers and how fun it is!! Hoping you are feeling better. It does take awhile to heal (I hate to admit it, but age isn't always our friend). I was checking my mail one day and just fell...got a huge scrape on my knee, leg and ankle and it took months to completely heal. Take care of yourself Sis!
hugs,
Linda
Oh my goodness, I'm sorry to read about your black eye business. Oh dear. I hope you heal quickly. My oldest granddaughter (5) came with a black eye. She had a tumble and hit the corner of a low table. My daughter said it looked worse than it felt. Lovely blues brothers sculpture. They almost look alive. And also love the ibis photos. Imagine my surprise a couple of years ago when I was walking down to our village in Oxfrodshire, and spotted an African white ibis in the trees nesting. I had no idea that a few of them started migrating all the way to mid England recently.
What a cool post! So glad you're healing up. Wait!! What!!?? You're not tripping the "light fantastic" yet? Hugs. :)
Oh I love the Ibis - of course I've never seen one - but would love to.
I hope you are not dancing - at least not yet - and hope you are feeling better every day, my friend.
Very fun photos.
But I hadn't heard about your incident - accident? I've been away from the computer for a few days. Time to read back and find out what's been happening.
Hope you feel better really soon!
Glad you're feeling better, hope it heals fast for you!! Such fun and cute pictures! Thanks for a drive/dance/fly by! Wishing you a lovely Monday morning sweet friend!! xo Holly
Blue nose and a black eye??? Oh Diane, what did I miss while not visiting blogs last week? Praying for your healing, sweet friend.
Great pictures today - I thoroughly enjoyed them. Hugs!
Oh Dear - I just scrolled down to see what happened - so very glad that nothing is broken and that you will be o.k.! It is so sweet that you had guardian Angels, Amelia and her family, to help you. Your poor hubby must have been beside himself! There is nothing more painful than injury to the nose and face - wishing you a speedy recovery - sending healing thoughts and prayers. Hugs xo Karen
I had to read your post before this one to find out what happened. Gosh, sounds like a terrible fall. So sorry but so glad it didn't break anything that would require a long, long recovery. Maybe just take it easy for a few days and gather strength....
Oh my, lavender sis, didn't realize you'd done a header on a sidewalk. So glad the injuries weren't worse and I'm sure your face is black and blue.
The Blues Brothers is so cool and a treat to see.
Take care of yourself Diane, thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
so glad you are doing better...before long, you will be able to dance with all your feathered friends....have a good day
Diane, I have been thinking of you. Glad you are improving. Those birds looks funny. I like those blues brothers. :):) Hope you heal quick so you can get out and about. Blessings to you dear friend and prayers too. xoxo,Susie
Good afternoon Diane,
Well you sound pretty good, and it sounds like you are on the mend. It may take some time for that color to fade completely.....hope you just take it easy for a bit!
Your Ibis photos are great! We went for a walk with the Miss Ellie this morning and saw a bald eagle! It was a magnicent sight!
You have a wonderful sense of humor my friend and I know you will be fit as a fiddle in no time!
xo

OMG, I've missed a few posts as we had some days away and then it took awhile to catch up... so sorry to hear about your fall, and I hope you are healing nicely now.
My hubby loves The Blues Brothers. He'd enjoy seeing this monument to them.
Great post and great effort too! Bless your heart, hope you heal quickly and I promise no jokes! Cool photographs!~
I am sorry to read about your accident in your prior post, Diane! You were fortunate you did not break a bone. I hope you heal quickly, and that the pain is not too bad.Rest up
The ibis is a beautiful bird, and the Blues Brothers statue made me smile!
I am so glad you are feeling better...keeping you in my healing thoughts. Love the Blues Brothers...that's a hoot.
Diane, I hope you are on the mend soon. You can still dance in your dreams! What delightful pictures! Thank you for sharing them with us.
Glad to hear you're doing a little bit better, Diane. Hope that trend continues and you're back to normal in no time!
I'm glad to hear that you are healing Diane...and still have your lovely sense of humour intact.

So happy you are still able to get out and your wonderful adventures! Take good care and give your body the time it needs.
My husband LOVES the Blues Brothers! I have a picture of him next to statues of them also!
So do I understand that you fell?So sorry to hear that! I hope you feel better soon! My Mom just tripped on her cane and fell breaking her nose so her whole face was purple, now turning green and yellow. We are ALL working on slowing down and "being in the moment".
Hello, dear Diane!
It's always lovely to see the fun and interesting things you have photographed.
Get well soon!! Hugs!
Oh Diane, I am so sorry the read that you got injured and I pray it heals well, very quickly. I love to dance and need to do more of it. For now you can dance in your thoughts, whenever you desire. Take care~
The American White Ibis - what a peculiar looking bird, but such a pretty one at the same time. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. I love seeing all the Florida birds that you often share with us.

Keeping you in my prayers as you continue to heal.
hugs,
Cindy
