August Flew By!

The summer months have flown by. It’s my MOST favorite season and we’ve managed to have pretty decent weather this year. Just enough rain to keep things nice and green (hot and humid!).

I wanted to take photos from my posts for an ‘end of the month review’.

AugMos

What fun I’ve had making doll clothes for the sewing challenge. Thanks JoAnn! I’ve read some good books and spent a few Sundays at the Park enjoying nature. We’ve driven out to the Gulf Coast a couple of times, too.

It’s been a fantastic summer to be in Florida!

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and

Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday

Have you had a good summer?

I have had a good summer but I am ready for fall. I have to admit that I put out a few fall things on Saturday. I just could not wait.

It looks like you've enjoyed a wonderful summer. Great idea to capture it in a mosaic.

Summer is way too short for me!

LOL, summer is my least favorite season. Yep, it even ranks behind winter! Too much heat and humidity. I'm looking forward to fall! Glad you've had a nice and busy season with various activities.

Your pictures of your summer look wonderful! My summer was okay, just had some health issues taken care of! I'm ready for a change, fall, hurry up!
Happy Day, Diane~

The mosaic for the end of the month is a great idea! You have had fun! And it is lovely that you shared it with us. I love being here in the beautiful Oregon in the summer and fall, but I kind of always want to be in two places at once, because I'd love to see what Florida is like in August and September!

You've filled your summer with your favorite things -- good for you! I'm looking forward to Autumn ... when I come out of hibernation! Ha! Happy Monday!

Great mosaic to sum up your summer. I do love summer, but now that the calendar will turn tomorrow, and we've had rain, I'm getting excited about autumn. We had a great summer - lovely weather, some wonderful times on the water and hiking, and family times, too. Have a great day, Diane.

Hello Diane, I have to have you talk to my hubby. Maybe you can convince him Florida is a great place to live. I love you images from this summer and a great photo of you in the park. Have a happy day and new week ahead!

This summer has indeed been good albeit too short! I can't believe tomorrow is the first day of September :)

Love and hugs to you, my friend!

I agree that this summer has just flown by. I love summer too and have had so much fun this year that I hate to see it end. But I like fall too so I will look forward to that in a few weeks. Meanwhile I'll enjoy what's left of the summer. Glad you had such a good time. I'd love to see the gulf coast someday.

Diane, You had a great summer and some bad times for a bit...but you look very good and survived. Can't keep a good woman down, no way. I can tell by your collage of photos you did many different and exciting things. You sure never get bored. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

Isn't it nice that you love summer, living there in FL. We lived in central FL for 3 years and I never got used to it. January was nice!

Yes, I've had a great summer, especially the month of August when our weather has been wonderfully summery with lots of sun and heat. I'm not looking forward to the fall months as we all know that winter follows and winter here is not like winter in Florida. :) Glad you had a great summer too Diane. Happy September to you! Hugs. I love your end of the month collage - you did indeed have a great summer.

We had fun too - lots of family (even some from West Virginia) - lots of picnics - lots of sewing and lots of pretty flowers - plus lots of fresh berries, fruit and vegetables. Our summer was much warmer than normal - which we thoroughly enjoyed.

This sounds like the ideal for summer. Summer is still to come in my part of the world, spring has just sprung.
Have a great day.

It's been a wonderful summer for me. I was just feeling a tad sad that it was already time to turn the calendar and begin a new month. I love, love autumn but the summer zipped so fast I hardly feel I got my 'money's worth' of hot summer days. :)

I'm glad you had a wonderful summer. I see you were enjoying Gift from the Sea -- one of my favourites. She shares such insightful things that I found so helpful years ago when I first read it. I read of a couple of Maeve Binchey novels over the holidays. Just finished Evening Class and loved it.

Wishing you a beautiful day...

Love the new header lavender sis, and yes we've had a great summer too with enough rain to keep everything healthy.
I've managed to read more since I decided not to be a slave to my computer reading and commenting on posts and this is working well.
I hope September brings you happiness and new adventures.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday Diane.

Good Morning Diane, your park looks like the perfect place to take a nice walk. Our summer has been so hot that it has actually been a chore keeping things green. Our hottest day was 112 degrees. That is the hottest day of my seventy years. Last weekend we finally got rain, our first since May . . . it cooled the air and now I think we are in for a lovely September. Have a lovely day and thank you for your sweet blogging friendship. Your blogging sister, Connie :)

Yes, your summer has been a fun one and you have shared some lovely adventures with us (dealmaking, bargain finds, hikes, ...) Now I can't wait to see what you are going to come up with for autumn. I'm sure it is going to be good.

You are so fortunate to have two homes... IF I could, I would have one home in the mountains and one on the beach in North Carolina (Ocean Isle)... BUT--we are fortunate to enjoy ONE home here in TN...

Glad you have had a good summer... Summer is my least favorite season because I don't like heat and humidity.. I also don't enjoy traveling in Summer due to the crowds... SO----we are Spring and Fall lovers, but I even like winter as long as we don't get the Ice Storms we got last winter. Yipes....

Hugs,
Betsy
