Memorial Day and Duck Duck Jeep!

I know we all have a heavy heart with the terrible tragedy in Texas unfolding but it's a good time to remember our heroes in the military. We observe Memorial Day to honor the men and women who lost their lives while in service. We have so much to be thankful for living here in the USA!

And it's always encouraging and uplifting when we can reach out to each other and bring some happiness.

I've had my Jeep for over a year now and I still love it.

It's been great for driving around on the backroads of Florida on our hiking adventures. (not crowded in these destinations)

When we were at the Gulf Coast, a Willys Jeep did a little circle near me (at the boat dock) and I said Hello, I have a Willys too! (her windows were down of course)

She grabbed a little rubber duck off the dashboard of her Jeep and handed it to me with lots of smiles all around!

And then on another day, we were at Blue Run Park when I put a duck on the door handle of this pretty blue Jeep.

And as soon as I did, this pretty young lady walked up with a smile on her face and we chatted and took pics.

It's always nice when you can reach out to others and make a connection.

AND share some smiles!

Have a beautiful week ahead.

Yes, Memorial Day is a hard one when we really stop to think about the reason, not just a backyard BBQ... Love the story with the little Duckie and connecting with others.

That's such a cute 'little rubber duck' idea, and what a sweet picture of the lady who got yours. Now, the one you received will go nicely for the 4th of July, it's red, white, and blue! It's nice that you are enjoying your jeep, and you will never miss where you park with its pretty red. That would be a good vehicle for my road trips I take haha.

Happy Memorial Day.

The significance of ducks and Willys jeeps is lost on me but it sounds like a delightful tradition that engenders good will -- and don't we need more of that these days?!!!!

I love giving to others and I love the little duck idea. How adorable is that! I think I'll come up with something small to just hand others when the occassion arises. I know that would make me happy and maybe make someone smile. Thanks for the idea.

Jeeps do have a way to bringing people together. I grew up in a jeep--four wheeling in the Colorado Rockies west of Denver. That's where I learned to drive. You just gotta love a jeep! Especially red.

It was very sweet of you and the lovely ladies of Willys to share ducks!
My brother also had an old Willys Jeep that he sold since it was too old to be fixed.

Nice Jeeps and door decoration, though the white one cool. I really must post a photo of the WWII one I took in our village the other week, The guy owns three of them. Awesome
