I love having a romantic bedroom with soft soothing colors.
(All of my blog buddies have seen it many times.)
The view out my window is of the beautifully manicured golf course so we chose a headboard that we could see through.
This week, I searched my stash of vintage fabric, lace and trims to create a new pillow for my bed.
I love the way it turned out…all frills and lace!
(a ‘shocking’ peek under the lace!)
I always make pillow covers now because there is NO WAY you can get another throw pillow in my linen closet. It’s quick and easy, too!
Here’s my ‘stash’ that I’ve been collecting.
And how about that vintage button in the center?
It was an old ‘clip on’ earring...
hubby cut the back off and I glued it onto a brooch pin!

Is your bedroom soft and soothing…and romantic? How many pillows do YOU have on YOUR bed? heehee!

Love your beautiful pillow cover!! My grandma had tons of those clip on earrings!
Your pillow is very pretty. What a nice stash you have. :)
So pretty, just like you! Your pillow is gorgeous.......well done you. I've always wanted my backyard to look like a golf course, but without the players!!!!!! We've got some beautiful golf courses out here, but I think the people ruin the look....LOL
Hugs,
Meri
Very pretty bedroom. Love all of the pillows - especially the one you created this post! Great job! Catherine (new follower)
How pretty! Well done!
Your bedroom looks so relaxing. And I just love the pillow you made, how smart to use a vintage earring! Lovely!

Beautiful! Love your bedroom and your sweet pillow, I imagine the view out your window is so pretty. Our master is like our master bath...needs a re-do! Have to get the kitchen finished first. Hopefully will get those plans finalized within the next few months...
Blessings,
Cindy
How very very pretty laces and fabrics. Love your view. Hugs Judy
You were a smart gal to choose a headboard that could be seen through. I doubt that it would have even occurred to me. What a sweet little pillow you created and a great idea for an old earring.
So pretty Diane! I love the use of lace and the vintage clip on earring.
Wonderful bedroom, sleep in that bed must be a great pleasure!
I have toooo many, according to my husband!!!!
This was a beautiful creation,I love it, so girly girl and yes romantic! I recognize that beautiful bedroom right away when the photo came up on my reader, I love the bed in front of the window, we can't do that here, we would freeze to death in the winter, we would wake up with icicles on our nose!
You did a wonderful job on your pillow. It looks great on your bed.
Judy
Your bedroom is romantic! And you did great on your pillows. sandie

Seriously....two years ago when my hubby retired, he asked me quite sheepishly if we could get a camouflage comforter. I just didn't think I could bare RUINING our décor with this hideous idea. But, he had given me the run of the house in decorating all those years (38), and I decided it was only right of me to give in. We found a camo quilt we agreed on that wasn't just "hit you in the face" camo, and I found a little lamp that was a tiny fireside (the fire is a night lite) with a deer head hanging over it, and we found a cute camo rug for his side of the bed. I already had olive green curtains, so it all went together like a puzzle that was meant to piece together....and for the past two years, we have both loved it! I'm glad I gave into him. We have 4 throw pillows...two camo and two olive green sweater knit. He is a happy man, which made me a happy woman.
I even gave in and let him put a camo recliner in our living room. :)
LOVE it!! And you can change out the cover with the seasons if you want to. I like the way you used an old earring. How did your husband cut the back off the earring? I've been wondering how to reuse those, without resorting to a huge glob of hot glue.
So pretty..well done x
That pillow is GORGEOUS! Love it!
I love your pillow covers! Thank you so much for your cards and notes during my husbands illness. He is now home doing well!
What a pretty pillow!
So pretty....I love making pillows, and need to get busy doing it :) Blessings sweet Diane
Oh, what a lovely pillow you made! It really is so sweet! Thank you for sharing with us at TTF my friend!
This is just lovely! I love the little see through lace "skirt" and that earring -- well, I'm a vintage jewelry JUNKIE. Wish I could find more of it -- I love using it for embellishments. You did such a great job on this -- you should make and sell these with your purses in your shop.
Your cute pillow is so sweet. I love the pin in the center!
Hugs,
Patti
Such romantic little pillow! I love all the lace on it.
It's a wonderful bedroom. Love the pillow, and that amazing light from the window.
You are so clever! Your pillow, bedroom and view are fabulous!

Hi, I am a new follower so this is my first view of you lovely bedroom. Your stash looks a lot like mine. Don't you love finding all those pretties and making something beautiful from them.

Your bed is so pretty, Diane, and I love the new pillow! You're so creative. I need to do something like that. Actually, I need to do a lot of things and sometimes it's hard to know where to start. lol
What a serene room to go to bed and wake up to! Hey, we're Carolina-bound...sold the house and will be heading there on August 1st! I hope we can finally meet, XOXO
I love your beautiful new pillow cover. It is perfect for your romantic bedroom.
Hugs,
Laura
That is beautiful - love it. Have a nice weekend. xo
I absolutely LOVE your bedroom!! And the pillow you made is so perfect for your bedding - which is also wonderful!! I like the colors, very soft and soothing. The only thing I would do is perhaps find an old sheer lacy dresser scarf that you could drape over your headboard on those rainy days when you want a "pretty" to see instead of the raindrops.
It's a real haven that you've created!
Have a fab weekend!
hugs & blessings, Edie Marie
You are so creative!! Your bedroom is gorgeous, and the new pillow is darling.
Your bedroom is so pretty and soothing and clean :).
Love the pillow you made. So feminine and pretty.
I just counted nine pillows on my bed and would you believe one of them has a clip on earring and antique postcard attached?
you have a lovely bedroom. The pillow is gorgeous!!! Thank you for sharing at the hop. xo
It's so sweet and pretty! :)
Love those pillow covers....so funny, I am collecting the same goodies. We have much in common! Love your bedroom....

sewwhat!
LOVE that pillow, and your bedroom is so light and pretty. What a good idea to choose a headboard that does not block that beautiful light.

It's positively lovely, and the little peek-a-boo skirt is a great touch!
I really like the lace overlay that gives just a peek of the floral pattern below it. Very pretty, Diane!
