Happy Fourth “Easy Project”

I always love to decorate the baker’s rack in my lanai.

MosLanai

The dollies thought they looked especially pretty for the Fourth of July holiday but they needed something special to hold. My dolls are beautiful creations from Pat at All is Bright.

I can always make the biggest mess for the smallest projects.

I cut stars and sewed them together in the center with buttons. I even sandwiched some interfacing inside to give them a little body.

They were quick and easy and the dollies are happy now!

Do you have big plans for the Fourth?

It may make a big mess while the project is underway (as I always do, btw), but the outcome is lovely and rewarding, isn't it! So pretty. :-) Our plans for the Fourth are go to go the local fireworks display at the lake.

Good Morning Diane, I love your stars, they are perfect for the 4th July celebrations, but I think they would be fabulous for Christmas aswell.
I am the same, I make a terrible mess when I am working, you should see the state of my sewing room at the moment, it looks like I've thrown everything in the air and my material, ribbons and embroidery thread have landed all over the room. I must really tidy it up.
Have a wonderful 4th July celebration.
Best Wishes to you,
Daphne

You sew such beautiful things -- the stars are fantastic with all of their detail and embellishments. I'm SUCH a messy crafter too. Fortunately hubby built me a room in the basement so I can close the door on my mess!

Love your stars!!! I started cutting some out of fabric to use in a garland for the 4th....yours would look great on a garland...not that you need another mess to pick up! When I am sewing, I can spread the mess throughout two rooms! lol! Enjoy the day!

Messes bring good results and what you have created is proof of that! Have a good holiday week, and do go to Sarasota when you can--you would enjoy the Ringling Bros. Just wait for cooler weather!

I make messes too, don't know how that always seems to happen, but could be cause I try to do too many things at one time. Your dolls look very patriotic and the stars look great. Hope all is well, and Happy, safe 4th of July to you!
