You don’t have a mean bone in your body….

I spent time at my local BMW dealership this week….a couple of hours, two days in a row, getting something routine done to my car (some settings changed).

The service men were great and treated me like an honored guest. And when I had to go back the second day to get another quick fix, one of the sales people (a nice man from Grayson, KY) talked with me for about a half hour. We talked about the news, work ethics, the horse farms in our area and the weather.

When I got ready to leave, they all smiled and waved and sent me off with kind words.

And when I said I knew I was going to have to be tough to get it done right, one of them said, “You don’t have a mean bone in your body”.

I think that’s the nicest thing anyone has said to me in a long time.

So I wonder what kind of deal they would make me on this little red convertible.

I’ll never know. Two days at the dealership is all I can take this week! haha!

Do you think you get better results with honey than vinegar?

I sure do!

A smile works wonders, too!

Thanks Ocala BMW for a job well done!!!

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

SNOW DAY here in the mountains. (o:

I'm a teddy bear and don't know much about worldly things, but Mom says businesses are friendlier, more personal in small towns, merchants get to know you and address you by your name, things like that. I agree, so I'm not surprised to hear about the BMW dealership in Ocala. We drove through your town several years ago and it is so pretty. Mom loved seeing all the horse farms with the white fences.

Being a teddy bear I have to say anything with honey is always better. Giggle. Honey in the tummy is the best!

I have a friend who says...."you know how people say -the squeaky wheel gets more oil? In my house the squeaky wheel gets replaced & thrown in the dump!" Tehe! Have a great weekend!

LOL, I agree with the guy's assessment of you! I am kind and trusting until someone takes advantage of me. Then... watch out!

...and I bet they were buttering you up for a new car too! Glad you were "tough" with them!

You can tell a lot about a person just by looking at their face. You have a very kind one.

Maybe if you turned the charm up a few notches they'd give you that convertible gratis ;).

As Mary Poppins sings, "A spoonful of honey. . . ." Some people are just naturally cheerful and patient and I'd like to think that I am one of them, but there are time when a ore assertive nature is necessary. Love the little red convertable.

Of course is all I can say, you certainly don't have a mean bone in your body, you are so full of laughter, and life Diane.

And yes honey over vinegar anytime, nothing gets our back up like petulance...

I could tell that you don't have a mean bone in your body just by the way you live, write and comment on blogs.

Hope the car is working fine.

Honey works better than vinegar and that was a grand compliment they gave you.

Well, one can try honey the first couple of times...; >

Glad that your problem was resolved.

Absolutely with honey but unfortunately sometimes there has to be a little vinegar. :) I know that if I met you in person you'd be the sweetest!

Honey for sure but I can rustle up some vinegar if I need to. Some people take kindness as weakness.........and they should NEVER do that! LOL!

Yep, a little sugar goes a long way, but I'll throw some vinegar if I'm pushed. :-)

And I doubt you do have a mean bone. Your smile is too nice!

Hi Diane, Yes a kind smile and being nice still matters.
A little Honey still makes everything a bit smoother. No doubt they realized you are their best kind of customer and not a mean bone in your body.
Now flash that smile and let them make you a deal on that little red number. LOL!!
Such a nice compliment to get and you so deserve it!
Have a great weekend.

I know how you feel, I hate going to the dealer but how they treat you makes all the difference. I am fortunate to have a dealer like yours that doesn't require too much vinegar.

They seem nice! The people at the Mercedes dealership here in Birmingham are AWFUL! That's why we switched to BMW and Volkswagen here because they are soooooo much nicer….especially the service department!

I've found that honey always beats vinegar, BTW….
