You don’t have to go far to see some beautiful fences at Rainbow Springs State Park.

This small quilt is hand quilted!
And I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a tablecloth especially to fit a card table, but isn’t it cute?
I found these silver plated spoons and used a 50 % off coupon I had been saving at Hospice Thrift Store.
They were $12 so that made them $6 (and then I got another discount for being a frequent shopper).
I think they are sugar spoons. I did some research and I’m still not sure. They have a very rounded spoon but they are only 5 1/2 inches long so not really long enough to be a soup or gumbo spoon.
Kim asked a good question, “Do silver plated spoons say silver plated on them? How do you tell the difference?”
On the back of the most narrow part of the spoons are these words stamped, COMMUNITY (a brand), Reed & Barton, Community Silver, GM co---1919. I’m assuming they are silver plated by the way they look. Maybe they are silver. Thanks Kim!

I love finding vintage Christmas items at the thrift store. Right now the Christmas aisle is LOADED!
I have to be careful not to bring home too much.
But when we bought bookcases for our living room and library, I made one shelf for Christmas books.
So these beautiful Santa Christmas candles looked perfect placed on the shelf.
And then another day, I found this set of nesting Snowmen.
(I have all of the Janet Evanovich books except some of the newer ones and #6. I don’t know why I can’t find that one!)
Better stop there for now! lol

And it’s really ‘how to plant 3 palm trees’!
Buy a truckload of dirt from Dirt Cheap.
And then hire 3 young men to spread it, dig 3 big holes, plant palms and spread mulch all around them.
This was the excitement in our neighborhood this week.
It’s the house across the street getting 3 beautiful palms while I stand in the front door and take photos. I ‘placed’ some birds on my lamp post using Picmonkey. (trying to dress up our place! haha)

These aren’t what we normally review.
But I have to say, I was thrilled to find them at the thrift store for $1 each and I’ve enjoyed looking through them and reading stories I haven’t read in years.
They even have dust covers!
The Blue Fairy book by Andrew Lang was published in 1959.
The Red Fairy book was published in 1960.
The stories are a joy to read and the illustrations are delightful.

So we’re on the way to the grocery store! Put your seatbelt on! Do you have ice packs in the cooler?
We’ll turn here and this is what we see.
I know, it’s not new. We see it every time we go to the grocery store.
But it’s unique!

Yes, it’s a firewood stacked fence. (we don’t use a whole lot of firewood here in Florida so it’s ‘repurposing’!)

I have had such fun making animals and dolls that I had to MAKE myself go back to a project I started a couple of months ago.
I made one pillow cover out of the fabric I got at the thrift store. It was the last project I did on my Bernina and it was ‘acting up’ while I was sewing.
Now I have a new Brother sewing machine and have been sewing up a storm.
So I finally made the second pillow cover.
When I sat down in my recliner to load the photos on my computer, this was my view.
They look nice, I think.
Lots of ‘smaller’ projects to share soon!

That would be me. Well, that’s what I always dreamed of being….and still do.
And my dream came true when I met ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in my very own storybook.
When I took part in the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party HERE, I visited many of the other party goers.
I entered a giveaway at CASTLES N CROWNS FAIRY TALE PHOTOGRAPHY HERE and was one of the winners.
She designed this storybook adventure with an old photo of ME as the character that meets Alice.
Here’s what Tricia wrote, “In "Diane's Story: Diane Meets Alice", the little girl leaves her own black and white storybook world and enters the colorful Wonderland, where she meets Alice and her friends.”

I found the prettiest little mirror at the Hospice Thrift Store last week.
I used the App Waterlogue for IPADS to create this watercolor.
A couple of years ago, I won a gift certificate from Bella Rosa Antiques and I chose a beautiful blue mirror. They have wonderful vintage items that you can order online HERE.
Anyway, this small mirror reminded me of the one I have and when I looked for the box from the other one, they were the same design.
Isn’t that fun?
Maybe I’ll start a ‘new collection’!
