Dolly Dimple “Helping Mom”

I had the most wonderful Mother’s Day. It could have been better. I would have loved to have spent it with all of my kids and grandkids. But I definitely got special treatment this year.

I think everyone was glad I was still alive…especially ME. I felt more thankful and appreciative for every little thing. It doesn’t take a whole lot for me.  A note or card, phone call or text...just to know someone cares. But this year I got those and more…roses and gifts.

Thanks to all of those “kids” and grandkids that made my Mother’s Day the BEST!!!

About a month ago, I found this little Dolly Dimple at the thrift store for a quarter.

What do you think?

Is that a big bowl of tapioca?

Good Afternoon Diane, I do hope you are feeling a little better and are on the road to recovery. I am so pleased that you were thoroughly spoilt on Mother's Day as it will have lifted your spirits to have your family around you.
I love 'Dolly Dimple' she is so sweet and her eye lashes are fabulous.
Take care of yourself. I am thinking of you.
Best Wishes to you.

As you, Diane, I am not much one for a lot of attention; however, it is nice to get pampered once in a while. You always find such good thrift treasures.

Gorgeous color on the rose! Tapioca is a good guess. What else? Creamed corn? Macaroni? Doubt it! Enjoy your treasures!

Oh that makes for a wonderful Mother's Day. Hearing from the kids makes for a great day. Does "a big bowl of tapioca" mean something very good? I'd prefer chocolate pudding. LOL!

Dolly Dimple is adorable, Diane. When I was at the antique store this weekend, I was looking for figurines, but didn't find any as cute as this. It looks like you got some special gifts from your loved ones on Mother's Day. That is one pretty pink rose.

Have a terrific week.

Sweet! So happy you had such a great day.
Now, I have a silly question. I love your new header. And I have seen people fishing like this before, but I just do not understand how they can tell if they have a fish on? What kind do they catch? I have never fished the ocean before, so I might sound kind of dumb.
