Isn’t it fun to start the week on Tuesday?
I remember when we started school the day after Labor Day and when I saw this doodle, I just had to share. View all doodles HERE.

Yes, I remember school starting the day after Labor Day. It now seems it starts in the middle of summer!
School is just starting back in my home town in North Georgia so I saw lots of pictures of my cousins who are headed off to school this morning. When your cousins have grandchildren, you are old.lol!!
It seemed like real fall weather when I used to go back to school. Waiting for the school bus at the end of our long drive, and shivering in our thin little coats at 7:30 in the morning! I'm glad I can look back at that time with fond memories ;)

How cute the alphabet is. My little granddaughters started school today, as seems more near the norm for us. They were cute all dressed up in the blue tartan uniforms. Hair braided and clean faces. Now Fall seems to officially begun.
School still should start the day after Labor Day! I don't understand this "push." Oh well... Cute post!
One grandson started school on August 26 and the other started on Sept. 2 - and they both get out the same day in June - go figure. But they both love school and already are making big plans for projects they will do.
Our school started the day after Labor Day when I was a kid - and it was always the nicest week of the summer in Southeast Alaska - always.
Love that Google - they are just too clever.
Hope your week ahead is lots and lots of fun!
Wow, starting school after Labor Day is unheard of around here anymore. Enjoy your week sweetie. xo
I hadn't seen the Google back to school doodle but it's really fun! My kids are well and truly back to school with lots of homework!
Yes! I really like starting my work week on Tuesday...especially when Thursdays are my Fridays...a three day work week for me after four day weekend! Gotta love that! And yes, the folks at Google certainly are clever :)
We start school here a bit earlier than you do. I think school should start in September, as it gives the kids a little more time to play. :)
Happy September days, Diane.
love, ~Sheri
They start school so early here! Love google doodles!
hugs

FUN!! :-)
I love your Labor Day post too.
Have a great week.

Labor day was always the last cookout among my parents neighbors of the summer. The next day was the first day of school and I always had a new outfit to wear thanks to my mom. Many memories of days gone by! Hope your summer was awesome. Looks like it from going through your posts! Blessings, Edie Marie and Marie Antoinette
School started here today and I noticed the Google doodle when I opened my computer. Fun!
Diane, I too remember school starting after Labor day and ending on Memorial Day....giving us kids a whole three months of summer. Oh the good old days. !! Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Saw that doodle on Tuesday, so much fun!
I think they should go back to that....everyone starts at different times now...it was so much simpler when Labor Day was the last day of the pool etc. Ah, those were the "good ole days"! LOL!
School in Sweden also started at the beginning of September. I have no idea how it is now. I love September, even more so now because the unbearable heat of summer will soon be over. Fall will be here, crisp and cool.
Because we lived in an agricultural area, and kids were needed to help in the harvest and processing of produce, we got to start school after the middle of the month. That’s changed. Now kids are starting back during the heat of August.
Happy September, Diane! My grandchildren returned to school in mid-August so it already feels like an old routine. When we live din NY my children always returned after Labor Day and September felt like" a new box of crayons" exciting!
have a nice day...
thank you for sharing
nice doodle...
Happy Labor Day
Oh Yes, school has started. Jess is teaching first grade this year. I like your little chalkboard. I hope you have good memories of your school days, Diane.
