Winter Changes

No, we haven't had the winter weather blast that so many of you have had but it's 'milder' here now and with the time change, I wanted to change some of my decor.

I thought the photos would turn out better in my bedroom because it wasn't quite so bright and sunny when I took them.  But it is a hard room to photograph with the large windows behind my bed.

I changed my extra pillow covers to purple velvet, put a different pillow on my chair and a wool throw on the cedar chest at the end of the bed. Just little changes but I think that's enough for now. (and if the throw doesn't stay straight, it will drive me crazy and I'll put it away! heehee)

I was going through some 'old stuff' and found 4 little winter angels and added them to my dresser.

It's always covered in pretty things but I change it up from time to time.

Have you changed anything this week? I used things I already had. I am thankful for a nice home to live in and pretty things that I've collected over the years. What are you thankful for today?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays  and

Katherine's Thursday Favorite things HERE.

Diane, you know I am changing things all the time. I think it lifts our spirits to change things up every now and then.:)

Diane, I am thankful it did not snow, like predicted. Thankful I got the wood box on the back deck filled yesterday. So very thankful Ted is getting some energy back. I love the little angels, I have angels in my bathroom . So does my daughter. Like the purple accent. Blessings to you and Ron, stay healthy, xoxo, Susie

I love to change up things and move them around. I rarely buy anything new these days. I just shuffle things around or check out closets. I like the velvet pillows.

Oh I am so very thankful for so much! God is so good to me.I love the purple. Oh I wish my room was large enough to add a recliner or chair. I could do that if I opted to take a small dresser out. But, then I all I do is go to bed in there! LOL! Only change I have made this week was clearing off my table with my Fall tablescape. I know...it's not even Thanksgiving yet. But, we actually have Thanksgiving at my FIL home with our family. And I have had it up a while. Ready to do little a Christmas decor.....Hugs and blessings to you. Cindy

Your room is beautiful. I love all your little angels. If I had that bedroom, I think I would have the bed on a solid wall so that I could enjoy looking out the window. I don't have any windows in my bedroom. It's a very old house. I am thankful for every morning I wake up. And my family, my friends, my little dog, etc. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B

Very nice! I haven't made any changes to our decor... waiting on Christmas now. Just a few fall things here and there.

Nice having a chair in the bedroom to sit and read. Like the nice big window too.

Your bedroom looks very nice. It's a big room. I haven't changed anything recently but I think I need to mix things up a bit.

The purple velvet pillows look so elegant! I put a string of twinkle lights on the mantel this week. That's all I've changed. I do love mixing things up in my home, and hope to do a little more soon.

I love your bedroom! Mine is very very plain and you've given me the push to get it ready for the change in season.
Blessings, Joanne

This room is so pretty Diane! Looks so nice and cozy. I love all the angels and I LOVE THE PURPLE VELVET. I have a bedspread that same color. Not using it for anything right now but I do love the color. We have some cool breezes on the way, yippeeeeee! Going to nice crisp walking weather!

I think because I don't care for cleaning that I change things up as I clean to make the cleaning part more interesting and fun. Yes, 'shopping from your home' is how I roll! LOL! Pretty room and cozy!

Such lovely pictures...love that you use purple, since you have "Lavender Dreams"...and your new bedroom decor looks lovely. I am still settling into our house after our move this summer. I was just thinking it was time to put out the pilgrims and turkeys for Thanksgiving, so I need to find them and figure out the best spots. Decorating in a smaller home has its challenges. Thank you for inspiring us to do so. I enjoyed this today.

Your home is lovely. I like your taste for things. Like you, if a comforter will not behave, I put it away. Order in the home helps us to be peaceful in spirit.

Yes, we have changed a couple of things here in the past week as we made room for some treasures I brought back from my mother's Midwest apartment when she moved to a nursing home a couple of weeks ago.

Loving the cooler weather today!!!

Your bedroom is so pretty, Diane. I don't like it if a throw isn't straight either. I am grateful for my cozy apartment today. xo Laura

There's not much to change around my apartment. Even if I moved it it would still be visible so what's the use. But, soon I will drag out the Christmas decorations and there will be change then!

This is so pretty, Diane. And cozy, too, with the throw and all. I'm due to change to flannel sheets this week, and with it, the winter quilt and who knows what. It's getting very nippy!

Oh, all the Purple, I love it! Your room is charming, Diane. You have a lot of old treasures that must mean a lot to you. The snow babies, the angels, the porcelain girl.... and the angel at the end is beautiful. Thanks for sharing a little of your room with us. It's always fun to see our blog friends' styles and decorating likes. Your plaid blanket caught my eye. It looks soft and cozy.
