Most of our nature trails are closed so I've walked in the neighborhood some this week.
It's a beautiful day...would you like to come along?
We live in an 'active' community and there are more walkers out in the neighborhood than we see on the forest trails! But everyone keeps their distance.
And it is nice to see all the pretty homes and see what flowers are blooming.
I carry my phone when I walk so these are taken with my phone.
We've had beautiful weather so I can't complain about that!
It's nice to be able to at least wave at my neighbors!
And I just HAVE to share the book I've just finished in case you are in need of a good book to read. (I checked it out as an ebook from my library)
The One-in-a-Million Boy by Monica Wood
FIVE STARS! ALL the stars! It was THAT good!
Let me know if you've read it and also please tell me in the comments how you are doing! Are you well? I continue to pray and I know you do too!

...thanks for the tour, I haven't left our property in weeks.
It looks like you live in a beautiful neighbourhood which makes walking more fun. I am always looking for good book recommendations so thanks for sharing. I'll see if it in the digital library here. I'm doing well but am not getting out for walks. Perhaps I can get out soon. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks for the book rec. I checked out one too this past week that I think might be a winner. We will see. I thought of you this past Saturday. I took Gus for a walk but all I could do was look up. IT was a bird extravaganza. Maybe they knew it was their chance to play with rain coming. I love looking at flowers as well.
A lovely neighbourhood. And FLOWERS!
Hello,
You have a pretty neighborhood for walking. I love the flowers and the lovely gardens. The sky looks beautiful too. We have not seen many people out walking, which is good I guess. I will see if my library has the book, thanks for sharing. Take care! Enjoy your day, have a great new week!
Ahh, what a pretty neighbourhood you live in, Diane! So lovely that you can still enjoy a walk and see your neighbours from a distance!
Have a wonderful week ahead!
our neighborhood used to have beautiful flowers, now there are only a few, the ones who have wells with sprinklers systems, most of the yards are dead and no flowers, like ours. drought here, and you are so pretty only 2 hours away from us.. the rain seems to stay in the north of us area. it really looks beautiful. I went on my walk a mile two days ago, through the neighbhood. I am always gone 20 minutes. I got home and it was 30 minutes. he said how far did you walk? I said the same mile, but I stopped and talked 5 times. across the street from each other. anyone who would talk, the woman pulling weeds, the man walk ing a dog, the woman walking a dog... it was a nice outing
Good Morning, What a pretty walk, We have only dirt roads here! But you always make your days so special! I will order that book to read, thanks!
Blessings, Roxy
You have a beautiful neighborhood. We also have been taking walks in our neighborhood and there are so many people who are out walking.. and yes everyone keeps their distance as well. Enjoyed walking with you. Have a great day!
sunshine and flowers always make me happy - thank you!
Monica Wood...isn’t she a Maine author? You live in a beautiful neighborhood and I am glad that you enjoyed your walk.
Pretty houses and you guys have a nice weather :) NYC for past two days is cold and rainy
It's so nice to get out in the neighborhood for a walk on a sunny day. Such pretty flowers too. I haven't read the book but i will look it up. Have a nice week Diane.
Your neighborhood is lovely- thanks for sharing the beautiful flowers, and the book. I'll have to check into it.
Be safe!
Thanks for sharing your lovely photos.
I walk in my backyard a few laps in the very early morning
Happy you dropped by my blog today
Much🌼love
Lovely neighborhood. We rarely if ever saw walkers in our neighborhood but are seeing them now. I think it is nice to see people out walking.
Stay safe

Looks like you have some beautiful homes/yards to look at on your neighborhood walk. That helps a lot. The important thing is to get out and get some fresh air and exercise. I know I get stiff too soon when I don't try to walk every day. Right now I am limited somewhat in how much walking I can do, but I am improving every day. That book looks interesting. I may have to "check it out", when I finish my stack of 27 books I am currently reading in that series of Sugarcreek Amish mysteries. They are too good to put down. Today is too windy to do much walking..praying for rain, but hopefully no storms. Stay safe, and God bless you!
What a sweet tour for me today dear lady. Raining right now here. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Oh how BEAUTIFUL your neighborhood is!! So manicured and all. I would love to walk through your neighborhood too, and enjoy all the "eye candy". I'll bet your house & yard is just as gorgeous. Love, Andrea xoxo
Lovely neighborhood! the gardens are so pretty. I'll check out the book...
You live in a lovely neighborhood! We remain fine here, praise God. Yes, prayers continue!! Be well!
Thank you for the book recommendation. I am just finishing, The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend.
Your neighborhood is lovely. I love the homes and the gardens.

What a fun post and neighborhood. I love those sweet white ground flowers. Glad the book is good. I'll remember it!
hi, Seems you live in a beautiful neighborhood. Lots of things to see on your walk. To bad your nature trails are closed. But you can still be outdoors.
In Sweden we can move around as we please so far, as long as we are not groups in large numbers.
So, I can do mostly everything I am used to. Just be careful in shops and such.
Take care, stay safe.
What a sweet neighborhood, Diane! I love that stone bunny statue! Thank you for sharing your walk with us! xo
I'm always interested in good book recommendations, so I'll note this one. We've been walking in our neighbourhood, too. And every night at 7 we go out and bang pots to make a joyful noise to thank our front line workers. It's become quite a neighbourhood event.
Nice walk looking at all the houses and their gardens.
The only camera I have is my phone and it goes with me on my walks too.
'Have never read that book. I am staying home, only going to the store when necessary. Kinda lonely, but we are all getting used to this new situation, right? Trying to get some sewing done, as I have fallen so far behind since the first of this year. Hoping you are doing well also.
Beautiful neighborhood for walking and love all the pictures.
Hugs Diane
How nice to be out and about.

Diane - you live in a lovely neighborhood. It's a shame they have closed the nature trails. At the same time, it is a blessing to get a sneak peek at your neighbor's gardens and houses! Our libraries closed before I had a chance to get any new books, so your recommendation is not one that I have read. But my hubby has discovered that he can read books on Amazon Prime - for free. It is like a Kindle in the cloud! I will see if I can access this one that way. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, my friend!
I enjoyed the tour of your neighborhood! Good to hear from you and know that you are well. We are well, and being very careful when we go out. I make a huge grocery list, so that I do not have to shop again for several weeks. Since we can no longer eat in restaurants, it takes a lot to feed us at home! In between cooking, I am reading. The day after all the libraries closed, a friend and I met and exchanged a stack of books. So I am reading hers, and she is reading mine.
Have a blessed day!
Nice to see your surroundings. Here we're fine, but it's terrible boring to have to stay inside. Mostly for my DH that can't go into shops at all. I'm not 70 so I'm lucky to be able to see some people.
Hope you are all well too.
Love Elzie
What a lovely neighborhood you live in. Thanks for the book recommendation. And, yes, I'm doing well. Fortunately, I don't feel lonely ever. I am sad to see the horror this virus is inflicting on people and on this country and all humans everywhere. I thought you only read about something like this in a fiction book.
Take care, my friend. Thank you for your prayers.
What a beautiful neighborhood. And thanks for the book recommendation. When the library opens back up, I will look for it.
We are so grateful for our Kindles and that I can check out library books for them. Have read so much lately, we might have had to give up eating if I’d had to buy all those books ))). I hadn’t heard of the one you recommend and will go look for it as soon as I post this! ..... interesting to learn that all your nature trails are closed (that hadn’t happened in Lee County yet by the time we left). I think probably for the best though. I haven’t had time yet to see how our neighborhood walking situation here in Eugene is, we’re still sorting out stuff. Your neighborhood is lovely.
We are doing well here, Diana. We've been walking in our neighborhood, too, except when we stepped out EARLY this morning and saw a flash of lightening and heard a crack of thunder before we even got to the driveway!!!! Hurried back inside, thankful for rain, since (as you well know), we need it around here.
Your neighborhood is beautiful. I enjoyed getting a glimpse of it.
We are doing ok and so glad to hear y'all are too! I loved this neighborhood walk, so fun! I love seeing all the pretty flowers and the landscaping and all the pretty stuff. I get lots of ideas like that. Hope your Easter was nice, and I'm so thankful for nice spring weather so we don't have to be cooped up inside!
You had a wonderful walk in the neighborhood. I liked looking at all the charming houses, and I couldn't help smiling at those red flowers. It's nice that we can at least wave to our neighbors. It shows we all care and are going through the same isolation right now. Your book sounds like a good one.
Stay safe, dear friend.

I enjoyed the jog around the neighborhood, seeing the pretty flowers, and a hidden bunny here and there! The birds were special, and the squirrel and snake were a surprise! I loved the little wren in the birdbath! Today, it is raining, and I am feeling sad. But your blog made me feel better. To see the wonders of Nature and all the beauty that surrounds us is so uplifting! How blessed we are! Thank you for cheering me up!! Love, Aunt Helen
