North Carolina Apple Festival!

It was a beautiful weekend for the Apple Festival in Hendersonville, NC! More about it HERE !

I thought the tents and booths were set up much better this year, giving everyone room to browse and shop.

It’s always crowded but I went Friday morning and it was perfect! Temps in the 70s with a breeze and a gorgeous clear sky.

A quote from their website, “The North Carolina Apple Festival is considered one of the finest street fairs in the southeastern part of the United States. Our attendance averages over 250,000 people each year.”

It’s always fun to see people I’ve bought from over the years. There are so many talented artists and craftsmen here.

Things I wanted but didn’t buy, included these bird houses…

But I did meet this sweet lady and bought a new Fall bag. (yes, I remember that I make bags but I couldn’t resist one of these well made and reasonably priced bags and I NEEDED it !)

I’m joining Brenda for Tweak it Tuesday.

The festival brings back sweet memories of my mom in law who had did the craft show ciruct all summer and into fall. She worked so hard to make the little bit of extra income and it was so much fun to go see what all of other artists and crafters made. The Apple Festival looks like a dandy. I don't blame you for buying a fall bag. Its fun to have someone else's handywork once in a while. I would have had a hard time resisisting a bird house and apple cider.

I have been MIA as we had no internet connection for two days. Thanks to the ATT men who work on Labor Day for putting us back online.

Oh, your pictures make me long for the mountains Diane. Ellijay Georgia near my home town, of Chatsworth is known for its Apple Festival.

What a fun festival, Diane! Glad you got yourself the new bag. I am visiting from Judith's party and your mosaics are lovely. I have never seen a hummingbird moth before. How unique it is! Happy Labour Day and enjoy your first week of September.

Oh, it looks like such fun! I love the different festivals that towns put on throughout the summer and fall. I would have had a hard time passing up a lot of those wares! Thanks for sharing!
