I think I'm seeing butterflies in my sleep! I've seen so many real butterflies lately and then I spent some time making cards for the hospice patients that I visit each week.
I'm still using the pretty butterflies that my blog buddy Ann sent me.
And I wanted to share a butterfly card my son, D sent me awhile back. It's opened in the photo above. The other card is from my youngest son, D. I love having pretty things around me when I create, don't you?
I've discovered a 'new to me' author that writes amazing books!
The first one I read was Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center and I gave it 5 stars on goodreads. That's the very highest rating and I give it to only my very favorite books.
I read How to Walk Away by Katherine Center too and gave it 4 stars. Both books are worth putting on your 'to read' list!
I finally got to check out the latest Louise Penny book, A Better Man. I've been on the waiting list to get it from my library and now I have it in my greedy little hands! Oh, I CAN NOT wait to read it. This is one of my VERY favorite series and I know it is for many of you. I think Armand Gamache is REAL and don't anyone tell me he's not!
Have you read something good this week that you think I might enjoy?

...you can NEVER have too many butterflies!
Awe...the butterflies are so cute. So sweet of you to take the time to make cards for those in hospice. What a wonderful service and act of kindness. I LOVE IT! Looks like some good reads. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
What a nice subject for sleeping. I love butterflies, too.
The what to save in a fire book sounds like one we all need to read.
Thank you for sharing your recommendations.
Diane, I am loving your butterflies. The cards and the real ones in your photos from hiking. My daughter Karen has been sending me snaps of the butterflies she is spotting in her yard. :) It's the little things, isn't it? :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
As yet, I haven't seen any butterflies this year. The lady next door has a butterfly garden and there's another one at the end of our street. Maybe the weather has been too crazy here. I would love to take some photos of them! Beautiful cards. I'll have to check those books out. I listen to audiobooks while doing work around the house, so I'm always looking for good ones, thanks.
Hello,
Your butterflies and cards are lovely. I have finished Louise Penny's "A Better Man" it is a great book. I have loved all her books in this series. Wishing you a happy day!

That butterfly card is beautiful. I haven't read any of those books, but I have been reading some of my favorite books. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
The cards are so pretty and great work..
I have written the titles of the books down for when I finish the one I am reading. I will head to the library.
I simply loved Ordinary Grace that you read.
I love that you do hospice work......what a blessing you are to so many.
I’ll have to check out those books! All the authors are new to me!
Hi, I am all the way up in Maine! Our temps are getting cool and the butterflies have started to migrate. I was only able to get a few good photos of a few this Summer. I posted them on my blog and hope you will stop by for a visit. Love your blog but wish I could email subscribe to it!
I am not familiar with those authors, but I have jotted them down. I am always looking for a new book. Thanks for linking up
I'm still waiting for my name to be next for A Better Man. She is one of my favorite all time authors. xo Laura
I am a big Louise Penny fan and have read several in this series. Thank you for the reminder of her new book. I love all your butterflies, a beautiful card from your son and your cards too. A welcome gift to your hospice patients.
SO many butterflies but one can't have too many. We went to a habitat this year for the first time and saw so many varieties. Wish you were here to go to the next French market with me Oct. 5. LeeAnna
I know Gamache is in the mail to me right now and I'll be just about ready for it when it arrives. And cannot wait,.
Your hospice people must adore you. What a lovely thing you do.
Your cards are beautiful my friend!--I love them! Truly so sweet to bless people with those. I love the butterfly pictures....I haven't seen but a few fluttering about here, maybe they are on their way???
PS--those books look good, I will put them on my book list!
I love flutterbys
I always appreciate your book reviews. Thank you.
I love your cards.
Enjoy your weekend my friend!
Carla
Your cards look wonderful and that one your son sent you is beautiful.
I'll have to look for those books.
I read Louise Penny too and have read the first 10 books of the series.
I need a recommendation for a positive, life-affirming book. Thank you for these good suggestions. The last book I read, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, was very good, but sad. It was about a boy who had lost his father in 9-11.
Beautiful butterfly cards!
Oh I so love butterflies. OUr garden was planted to attract as many as possible and I keep wanting to make a butterfly quilt. You are so kind to be helping out with the hospice care...little things mean a lot and those cards are sweet.
I keep hearing about Louise Penny...I really must give her a try.
Me encantan las mariposas!!!!
Your cards are so nice and the books sound good. Have a happy Friday and weekend.
I agree about Armand! And I’m sure Three Pines is real too. Love your butterfly’s, all of them. Your son knows what his mama likes!
Those butterflies are perfect to create cards for the hospice patients. The yellow and blue one caught my eye, it's striking. The cards that your sons sent you is thoughtful. "Things You Save in a Fire" sounds interesting. I always said that my photos are the first things I'd take. But now, everything is on files on our computer hehehe. : )
