"Happiness"

I talked about good mental health in my last post. And I appreciate the positive comments so many of you left! I consider myself a very happy person. I know I'm blessed and I have a positive outlook on life. That of course does not mean I am immune to problems. But I'll focus on 'happiness' today!

Let's walk up the hill and see what we see on Bluebird of Happiness Hill on the Florida trails.

A juvenile on the same hike.

I've been seeing so many juveniles this summer and this Eastern Bluebird acts like a juvenile but look at his color!

And I didn't even notice the female when I took this photo. The bright blue stood out so much.

I am still seeing lots of Red-headed Woodpeckers in this same area.

They sure are beautiful to see.

But if you want something to worry about!

Maybe we should be concerned about swallowing this big seed WHOLE! heehee!

And then around the bend, this other bird was perched overhead.

Always something to worry about!

Hope your weekend is filled with happiness!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE
     and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

I love that you saw a pair of bluebirds. Bluebirds of happiness for sure. I think woodpeckers are quite pretty too.

It’s not easy to keep our focus on whatsoever is good, true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable...you do a wonderful job of that! The bluebird couple is so sweet.

Dont let the blue bird of happiness fly up your nose! I think that was a phrase on Laugh In...showing my age aren't I??

It’s a wise thing to focus on happiness! You see wonderful birds during your hikes there! I envy you a bit, wildlife is more quiet in my neighbourhood. Wishing a relaxed weekend.

Oh, those sweet little bluebirds---they are so incredibly cute, aren't they??!! Love them. I've never seen them here, not sure if they come here??--I will have to research that. My folks had them up North and my Mommy loved them, they fed them, she enjoyed them alot. That shot of the woodpecker with the seed is great!!! We DO HAVE WOODPECKERS here, ha ha ha ha LOL! Some in our trees here. Hope y'all have a great weekend my friend!! Are you going hiking??

Don't you love the bluebirds Diane? hey are so pretty. You got some great shots of them. I miss our birds around here. Not as many and the robins seem to have completely flown away. Have not seen one in over a month. Walking is good for your health and helps to clear your mind at times. Blessings to you and Ron, xoxo, Susie

Your juvenile Blue Jay is very lovely!
Nice to see... also because they do not live in my part of the world.
Have a great weekend!

How wonderful to see so many bluebirds, Diane! I was reading today that they are on the rise in America. Unlike the decline of 3 billion fewer birds since 1970! The red headed woodpecker is a beauty, Diane! We don't see them often here.

Amazing snapshots here! It's as though the birds wait till they see you coming and then present their best photogenic pose!!

That *is* one huge snack that woodpecker is eating all at once. We always tell each other to look alive when we see one of those last birds you show! So far, it has worked...they have not mistaken us for dinner (but we get slower every day). The bluebirds are wonderful.

Someday I'll see a bluebird somewhere other than a blog post. Till then, keep 'em coming!

Diane, I love your Birds, especially the Bluebirds--they are the "Bluebirds of Happiness". You must be out hiking these days as it is a bit cooler, and we have had nice breezes! Happy Birding! Love, Aunt Helen

I love your bird photos. Especially the Bluebirds. I think they are just so beautiful and I don't see many around here. That last awesome bird was the Turkey Vulture. I took some great photos of them while I was in Florida. They really are quite majestic. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

What better bird is there to bring happiness than the BLUEBIRD? Wow, the juvenile is much bluer than the other one. Oh my, look at that BIG seed being swallowed by the Woodpecker hehehe. He's such a funny and delightful bird. : )
