Hanging on to Summer!

Our summers last a lot longer here in Florida and we love it!

Lots of beautiful wildflowers blooming right now!

And a little mosaic with 'what doesn't belong'! Any guesses?

I finally saw a Monarch butterfly on a hike too.

I've seen LOTS of butterflies this summer, more than I can ever remember seeing. But this one looked special! Maybe I'll see more now!

And look at these little forest fairies.

Doesn't this one look like it has a dress on.

And because of something in the background, this one looks like it has a big head.

Forest fairies!

I’m joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

Great news if the butterflies have done well this year where you live - they certainly look fantastic in your photos, especially the big-headed one haha.
That's so funny about your blue polish! Watch the person you gave it too, see how they skip into Christmas! :)
Have a lovely week.

I love all the photos of the butterflies and wildflowers. It would be nice if our summer weather could last a bit longer too. Now I look forward to my yearly trip to Florida the beginning of March. It can't get here too soon. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

How fun to have more Summer!
I have an answer for your question... is it the top, right picture? I think it's yellow sand bags or something like that.

Gorgeous, gorgeous butterflies!! I can sit and watch them for ages! Like Florida the heat remains with us still here in Alicante. I usually love this part of the year because the oppressive summer heat has passed on and it is possible to walk the streets without feeling like a wet rag! :-) However, this year, due to the awful floods" we have been invaded by mosquitos en mass. You just cannot go for a walk without getting attacked. Its horrible!! ....sigh!!! We are hoping the swallows will return early to get rid of those pests!

keep well

Beautiful Butterflies! Loved the Bunny in the previous Video too. We used to see them here, but haven't lately.
Also used to see Squirrels, but they have vanished too! I am sure you two are enjoying the cooler weather to hike. The weather is so perfect now. Hope you have a nice week, and happy hiking! Love, Aunt Helen

Diane - your blog is always a joy to visit. Your enthusiasm bubbles over in the photos and the text, and you always find a way to make me laugh. Like including the yellow inflatables with the yellow flowers. We've had a dusting of snow here the last two nights, and really cold temps, so it's nice to know somewhere has blooms and butterflies! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Beautiful butterflies along with the wildflowers.
Surprisingly, we didn't seem to have as many butterflies this summer, not too many grasshoppers either.
Enjoy that nice warm weather and all that comes with it as long as you can.

Joy!

Oh yay! The pictures loaded for me; they weren’t yesterday. I always love to see the collages you create. And, not having seen a monarch this year myself, I love seeing yours.

I didn't think there could be a better name as butterfly. You proved me wrong. :-) I wonder if the Monarchs are changing their route.

That orange butterfly is really pretty. Such a vivid orange too. Summer has ended, and we are in the Autumn season. I am enjoying my favorite season. Yes, they look like forest fairies hehehe.
