Rock-a-bye Baby

We are back in Florida and I’ve been working hard.

IMG_8324

Oh…well….I might have played a little too!

IMG_8325

Peek inside the precious little cradle that I bought in NC a couple of weeks ago. I posted more pics of it HERE.

Now that we are back home, Emma Marie has claimed it for her bed. And I used all kinds of vintage finds for her pretty bed.

IMG_8308

A vintage Chenille bedspread for the mattress, an old chenille sham for her pillow (half of the tassels are gone but don’t tell!), and a vintage baby blanket.

She’s even holding a vintage bear and one old lamb….and one newer one are keeping her company.

The lighting wasn’t good for these photos.

IMG_8300

But doesn’t it give a nice soft effect.

I love finding vintage things for my dollies and the cradle is special!

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

Ivy and Elephants HERE

and Tweak it Tuesday!

Adorable. Didn't your babies miss you while you were gone? It is probably nice be home and to return to your routine. The little bed is a treasure, especially since Emma enjoys sit so much.

Very sweet Diane. I have a doll sized Bunk Bed that a friend's husband made for me so that my grandgirls can enjoy it. I often find myself putting them to bed and covering them with the little crocheted blankets I made for them.

We are SO on the same page! I am really enjoying the book A Light Between Oceans and I just put a little cradle out on the porch that I had picked up several years ago practically for free. I also have a bigger cradle my dad made for my children when they were babies. I'm thinking they will hold my toys that I am making...at least until they get sent to some sweet little girl or boy. Yours is precious along with the "baby doll" and your vintage linens. The little lambs and teddy are too cute!

My baby girl had a baby that looked like this and she had a cradle just like this one. We still have both in the attic. Can't wait to get them out for my little girls. They are a bit more "used", not as pretty as yours. I love this baby. It reminds me of my little girl. That's why I gave her one like this.

My mother in law made me so many of those vintage style laced border baby blankets for both of my children. I saved them all. :) Love this.
