If we can just make it to the bridge!

We hiked at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon this week! But oh my it was hot and humid. AND buggy! We usually have wind or at least a nice breeze here during the summer months but on this particular morning it was still. So you had to keep moving!

There are lots of beautiful birds and wildlife along the way. (we spotted 3 alligators in the river) But let's keep moving. Once you reach the bridge it opens up and you can feel a nice breeze.

And of course it's beautiful!

Lots of people out taking advantage of the nice day!

Lots of water sports!

Fishing boats are my favorite!

I couldn't decide which mosaic I liked best!

So I'm sharing them both!

AND had an added surprise that day!

A Super Hero!

To Save the Day!!!

It's always fun to get outside! Have you seen anything interesting this week? Any Super Heroes to save your day? I have to say the men that are putting on our new roof are  Super Heroes

Thanks guys!!!

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio too!

Hello,

You do have beautiful views of the river and sky reflections. The super hero is a cute find. Hot and humid weather are not my kind of walking weather. I feel for anyone that has to work out in the hot and humid weather. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

I don't know how you hiked in this heat and humidity - it's killing me and I don't hike anymore!

I loved the pictures Diane. It did look so pretty. You are talking about weather that just zaps my energy. LOL. I totally agree with you about the roofers. I have always had great respect for men who work in the elements. Blessings for a great new week, xoxo, love, Susie

If we hadn't been on the rivers in different parts of the world we could almost have thought we were on the same trip - hot, humid and buggy was us too!

What a fun post! Not every day you see a super hero. I particularly liked the canoe picture, so peaceful.

Beautiful Mosaics. I bet it was hot and humid! But now If I could be riding in one of those boats I would be good. LOL! YES girl...those guys on that roof are the true heros! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Wildlife probably prefers the lazy, calm canoes to speed and noise. They make a prettier picture, too. The men on the roof and so many others doing the hard necessary work are superheroes, indeed.

Hi There, YES---we have a 'super hero' right now also.... He's a young man who is repairing the wood all around our chimney!!!!!!

I remember those hot/buggy summers when I lived in FL and in TX ..... IF I had the money (and I don't), I'd want a home here in the TN or NC mountains for about 6 months and a home in FL for about 6 months... That's the ideal!!!! Do you all still own a place in NC? I know that you used to go back and forth....

I had fun with my Blog Post today... There's a battle going on between my Canon and my iPhone.... I love to get people's thoughts/reactions...Thanks for your comment.

Hugs,
Betsy

Yes, I have seen a hero this week. By the way, I see him on each day. It's no secret, it's ...maybe a surprise: it's my husband.

I enjoyed reading here about the water, about some nice nature. I love being on the water, on a river, on a lake or the ocean.

...thank you for your lovely comment at least! 😘

Stay healthy and well.
Happy MosaicMonday

The green mosaics make everything look cool, but you just told me that it was a scorcher. I couldn't take it. Hope that your heroes don't leave the roof like that. 😊

Such beautiful photos along the river. Looks like your roof will be done soon. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.

It's a good news to me is that when you go to that beautiful spot that you took all these gorgeous pictures you can go in the winter time and it's absolutely perfect there's only a few months that it's hot humid and buggy and the rest of the time is gorgeous. I don't go out in Hot humid and buggy

Your header photo is awesome ~ and your water series of photos is divine ~

Not really a 'hero' but an angel ( a young man, a stranger ahead of me inline) that paid for my ice decaf at Dunkin the other day ~ such kindness is lovely especially in these wild times ~

When we drive home up the Sunshine Coast Highway 101 we pass a turtle crossing sign. I look every time by have yet to see a turtle. We have a super hero statue on Powell Lake, well to some he's a super hero, Elvis. There is a life size statue of Elvis crooning on a point of land next to a float cabin of a huge fan. One time back in the 60s he got snitched by the local hockey team boys. Needless to say get returned home and remains so all lake residents can enjoy him. - Margy

This seem to be a gorgeous place to visit, both water and forest and lots of activities. Love the mosaics. And that gorgeous duck in them. Seeing this I wish I still had my kayak. But as I got older it got too heavy for me so I had to sell it.

Re my mosaic....do your image software handle layers? If so what I did is easy. I can tell you how!

I'd love to be on a boat right now. It's very muggy today.
How cool, a superhero, will he beat the Rona? lol
Definitely consider the roofers superhero's. What a job.

Can't say that I like it when it gets too hot and humid and buggy …
Thankfully that doesn't happen very often.

Loved seeing your photographs, it does look a beautiful place.
Enjoy the week ahead.

All the best Jan

Hi Diane
I do not miss the east coast humidity! we get hot weather here but it stays low humidity. I imagine gliding along on the water in a canoe is so peaceful....love your mosaic.

I like that Spiderman is wearing a mask! I wish more people would do that and be superheroes too!

What a beautiful river. Must makes things a bit cooler just being by the water.
Looks like the roof is coming along nicely.

Diane, I like both your mosaics, too. I love the calm of the river. So clear, too, the water and sky. When you mentioned alligators, I stopped thinking about swimming in the river. lol Cheers!

Diane - oh yeah, a spot like that just calls out for bug spray! I was working in the garden today, and any time I got near the trees, I started to hear that all-familiar WHINE. But it is worth it for the views you show in this post. Love the turtle!!! But no pictures of the alligators? What a find in the superhero - we could use a few more of them these days! Yesterday we saw the badger again in our yard, with three babies in tow! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Congrats on the new roof! (won't you be glad when they are done?!!!)

The weather is too hot for us of late. This is the time of year when I hunker down in the air conditioning, or sit directly under a ceiling fan when outside!

Your photos are gorgeous. Such beautiful water -- and Spiderman surveying it all!

Diane, the scenery is so pretty! I'd be afraid of those alligators though! Yikes! We need a super hero! Woo Hoo!!!

Love all your pictures. I like the canoes more than the other boats. I'm not in to motor boats. Love the super hero! I'd say the roofers are super heroes, working in this heat! Wow! Hope they are done now! Wow. Bless their hearts. I wouldn't want their job! Have a great week. Glad you made it to the 'bridge'. The scenery was great!!

you must be a really dedicated hiker to walk on those hot and humid days. and if you live in florida and you say it is hot and humid, it must really be hot and humid!!!

the water reflections are really pretty, the water looks like a sheet of glass!!

i'm glad your roofers are super hero's, i can't imagine how hot it must be on the roof!!!

Wow, here he comes to save the day (woops, I guess that was Mighty Mouse, not Superman,p)). Doesn’t sound like you need saving anyway though ... as long as you get out on that walk early before the high humidity gets worse! Roofing has always struck me as one of the hardest jobs ever. Height, heat, heavy, sticky, Bless those guys!

It looks beautiful - but yes, hot and humid always brings out the bugs! Glad all is well.

I love the turtle sitting on the log that actually looked like an alligator! Summer is here! I open the windows in the morning but this morning I could feel the hot and humid air coming in so I closed them! I'll probably have to sleep in my clothes to get up early enough to walk in somewhat cooler temps. Stay hydrated!
Those poor roofers! They need to do that in the winter down there!

Hot and humid, I’m okay, but buggy is no-no. The reflection photos are fascinating. I especially like it when blue skies or lush green is reflected on water surface. The blueness of the reflected sky is fascinating deeper than the real one. Personally I prefer the mosaic which includes turtles and waterfowl as variety spices up. Hero here would be my husband who take care of garden in spite of mosquito bites. Be safe and enjoy your summer.

Oh what beautiful pictures of the water! Thank you for this wonderful treat. When I was a young girl my parents owned a little cottage on a small lake about 75 miles from our home. We had a 16ft speed boat that we'd take out now & again and that's what these pictures reminded me of. Of course being a young girl I never really appreciated the views or the experience, as I would now. I'd love to go back to those days on the lake just one more time. Love, Andrea xoxo

Must be hot for the roofers! I just took out some water for some workers repairing our front porch steps. It's going to be in the low 90s here in Michigan for the next week. The men in the fishing boats look so relaxed and happy!

Yes, the men putting up your new roof are great, especially during this time. The first photo of the clouds in the water's reflection is so pretty. Canoeing sounds like a wonderful sport right now. : )

How delightful to hike and come up onto such a lovely view on the bridge! So wonderful to see people out enjoying the water! I wouldn't care for the bugs and the humidity at all! It's awesome that you are getting a new roof! So funny to see the Superman too! You just never know what fun things you are going to see on your walks! Many blessings to you (your book is on its way to you!)

Being near water is one of my favorite things. I wouldn't like the bugs though. I had to smile at your super hero. You are right about roofers. My next-door neighbor and the house next to her have had roofs put on for the last two weeks so I have seen roofers up close and personal. I would not want their job for anything.

Hi Diane, beautiful photos. Here in the Netherlands it was hot too. I think they cannot swim in that river when there a alligators. Greetings Caroline
