"Imperfect Photos"

When I'm out on a hike, I take all the photos I want and then I might delete a few that are out of focus when I get home...but not often! Thanks hubby for sharing some of yours too!

Sometimes the imperfect photos look artsy to me....

unique....

and unusual.

The rain we had last week helped fill the swamps again and there were birds galore on the swamp side at Blue Run Park.

Can you spot the Green Heron perched on the Cypress knee in the photo above? How about the one below?

We saw 4 or 5 Green Herons as well as a host of others.

It's always challenging to get good photos in the summertime.

The birds are hidden behind the grasses and trees.

We saw 6 male Wood ducks together which was unusual. Here's a pic that made it look like these were two headed! lol

Have you had a chance to get out and enjoy nature this week?

(I won't say what makes the one above look unusual...you figure it out! ROFL!!!)

(tannins in the water giving it a gold color, imperfectly beautiful)

We're taking advantage of the cooler mornings to get out early. Which means I drink iced coffee AFTER the hike instead of a cup before walking for 2 hours with a swamp on one side and the river on the other!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

I love love love all the photos and they're all absolutely gorgeous there's not a bad one among them! As for the one I would like to put on a canvas a great big canvas and put over my sofa it's the one of the Cypress swamp the first one I just love it! And I have a question why do you think they call them little green herons when they're not little and they're not green

The birds may be hidden, but you really know how to find them for these amazing photos!

I'm glad you're out and about. The injury of a few days ago must be a fading memory by now.

Have a good weekend!

Beautiful set of photos, including the "imperfect" ones. I haven't gone out to take many photos so far this year, due to being cautious about the covid-19 Lock Down rules.

Hello,

I love your Green heron and the Wood Ducks. Both are great birds to see, I keep missing the Green Heron here. The swamp photos are cool, love the lighting. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend! PS, thanks for the comment and visit.

Diane! (I figured it out! 😄)

I really enjoyed this post. I agree with you...unusual, sometimes less than "perfect" photos are the most artsy and interesting.

Oh, those wood ducks are magnificent! Your photos are totally gorgeous. I always see more in my photos than I see with my eyes. Sometimes the editing produces a masterpiece you never expect. So enjoyed these! Sandi

Diane, So many pretty birds. I liked all the photos. I sure would not want to fall into that water...yikes. Those ducks just look fake to be with so many markings. LOL Blessings to you, xoxo, love, Susie
p.s. oh I could not do a two hour hike. LOL

You're right -- some "bad" photos aren't bad at all with a little cropping, manipulation or imagination -- as you demonstrated!

And I adore those handsome wood ducks!

The swamp is so colourful. Love the green heron photos and the wood ducks always fascinate me. Enjoy the weekend.

Awesome photos! I keep almost all my photos too, if it's not focused I still keep it and may even like it more because of it.
Enjoy the weekend!

You've capture some really great shots!! Favorite is the unique one!!
I'm the opposite of most. I delete almost all my pictures and just keep my favorite ones.

Often, so called "imperfect" pictures turn out to be very interesting. A perfect image of the bird is not always what you are looking for and when you can capture habitat and ambiance well you have succeeded.

You always share amazing photos! No, I have not been out on any trails but we did get to go to the farm (Joe's client) last week. Walking to the pasture and back was quite a hike for me on my new knee!! Looking forward to your next trail...

Each and every one of your photos is amazing and I do like how the focus makes them look like artwork. Thank you for sharing your captures, as they made me smile!

I always enjoy your photographs, and thank you for sharing them with us.

We enjoyed a walk this afternoon and whereas you drink iced coffee, my choice is tea :)

Here's to a good new week ahead.

Some of these photos DO look artsy, especially the ones of the swamp area. I like the photo of the black and white bird too, that's unique. So glad to hear you got some rain. That's always a good thing. Those Wood ducks are sweet.
